  1. How cool is this case ? Anyone got anything like it ? Must be one of the heaviest cases I've come across.
  2. We had A client where this happened, client was using Avast... Previous versions and good backups prevented any data loss and they have now moved over to Eset.
  3. Have a look at: eXtplorer - A PHP- and JavaScript- based File Manager Basically install it on a Linux server, install eXtplorer and it will let you setup users. Set up users and specify folders for them to upload/download - you can upload files for them to access too. Works well.
  4. I hear the best thing to do with a Watchguard is, Install PfSense. www.pfsense.org
  5. The damage is case only, Computer itself works fine.

  8. Hi All, We received a phone call yesterday, A client of ours reported that A computer they have has gone up in flames... literally. Client had plugged an Ipad into front USB ports on PC (As you would I guess) and shortly after flames erupted from the front of the PC. Case is in a bit of a mess as you can imagine. We have also had a similar incident a while ago where someone had plugged a phone into the front USB ports. Anyone else come across this ?
  9. BIOS, booting using a virtual machine
  10. If I right click anywhere my machine seems to hang for a few minutes... its rather annoying.
  11. Dump RM, go Vanilla. Save a fortune in RM Licensing and manage everything yourself. No CC licenses required... No RM to deal with.
  12. Yep have a look on the internet, its a common issue apparently one major bug. Capture image now works, I had to mount it in DISM, unmount it and replace the boot image. Thats all well and good, however my install images dont work at all either.
  13. It seems this is a bug and has not yet been fixed.
  14. +1 I have this to and it is a life saver!
  15. Enable the guest account on the server, give full read and write permissions. And +1 for robocopy or deltacopy.
  16. Hi all, I seem to have problems with WDS on 2012 R2, I have installed the role on a fileserver which is running DHCP. PXE Boot works fine, its gets to loading files with the white bar going across the bottom, but then I get a failure. I have added a boot image, and also install image. Capture images also fail with the same error. I have set options 66 & 67 in Server options. 66 pointing to IP of fileserver (WDS) and 67 to boot\x64\wdsnbp.com Any Ideas ? Thanks in advance
  17. We Use Juniper, and wouldnt use anything else. Nothing but solidarity and reliability here, and marginally cheaper than other offerings.
  18. Try whoscrashed it may give you some information ? Resplendence Software - WhoCrashed, automatic crash dump analyzer
  19. I think there is a way in the logs on the switch to see when a connection became active and when it went down, however unless you have the correct date/time setup you will be none the wiser Unless it says something like *Port disconnection 1 hr ago*. A similar thing can be done on Junos but not so sure about Cisco. Try this: sh int | inc line protocol is|Last input which outputs FastEthernet0/29 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect) Last input never, output never, output hang never FastEthernet0/30 is up, line protocol is up (connected) Last input never, output 00:00:07, output hang never FastEthernet0/46 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect) Last input never, output 6d23h, output hang never The output parameter tells you when the port last saw traffic which is useful for identifying those ports that are only occasionally used. EDIT: Also worth noting (for reasons beyond the scope of this question) is that "Last input" is almost always "never"
  20. Have a look here, typically at the ifconfig section. BusyBox - The Swiss Army Knife of Embedded Linux

  24. Hi all Would like some advice, I could do with a loan. I applied at Natwest for 9,950. Because of an old credit card that im paying back at a pound a month Its left me with bad credit. I have a couple of credit cards too which I am up to date with. Only a couple of hundred pounds on each. At the moment all balances are 0 on cards except one. Which I was going to clear with a loan. I also need anew fridge freezer and some car repairs. Also maybe, put some away for house deposit. Anyone any ideas of where I could go ?
