  1. Anyone attending this year, or will I be fighting wih the corps on my own?
  2. If anyone needs the old version (1.1.0) then use this link http://www.edugeek.octoink.co.uk/documents/downloads/edugeek_joomla_1.1.0.zip Kind Regards
  3. The link to the new version doesn't have the same format as the previous 1.1.0 . Correct me if i'm wrong.
  4. Can someone send me the original files from the edugeek_joomla_1.1.0\Blank Headers please, or point me to a location where they are held. Thanks Steve
  5. Oh right, sounds good. Think i'll go ahead and have a play so that it might be easier for the next package. I wanna get some content sorted as well, it's all a learning curve Thanks again
  6. Sorry just one other thing, the line of code above the smoothgallery, any ideas what could be causing that?
  7. haha! Thanks the combination of you both! I had accidentally put one into the templates folder. So by picking up the .htaccess it wasn't allowing the template to deploy properly. Thanks so much guys, as long as there aren't any more server side problems the package itself is pretty easy to use (thus why i ventured that way in the first place) Once the donations page is in, consider a sizeable donation with your names on it to edugeek. Many thanks
  8. Right ok, Must again thank everyone for their time yesterday, Joomla is installed, hurrah I hear you cry Just a little problem with the background not displaying properly on the page, I'm unsure of where to go with this. If you take a look at the page you can see what i'm talking about. It's like the background has disappeared and the way the page is held together isn't working. Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$title in /home/northan1/public_html/modules/mod_js_smoothgallery.php on line 11 is the only error on the page, but that relates to the smoothgallery, rather then the background itself. The little buggers at my host are charging 50p a minute, I'd rather pay that to edugeek
  9. Okay! We're there. Just wanna say a big thanks to everyone that posted and helped me yesterday. The problem with it was that the php_value and php_flag commands are not supported by my hosting (for reasons I am unsure of but shall contact them). So in order to bypass it open your global.php and put ini_set('session.save_path', '/location/of/tmp/folder/'); into the file. It seemed to fix it straight away, a big thank you to ZeroHour for his time on Wednesday morning, very much appreciated mate. How can I donate to edugeek? Thanks again Steve
  10. At any point I use that piece of script, where ever i put it, it causes a Internal Server Error It not only stops the Joomla installation page, it also stops the check.php page.
  11. 500 internal error. Bang on If you can come up with anything, I have to pop out for an hour and a bit so will be back to see your replies. Gonna sort it tonight if it kills me
  12. I tried editing the .htcaccess file with the part you gave me, it just came up with an error page when trying to access the installation part. I've also tried just solely putting in the command on it's own, again no joy.
  13. No sorry, it's still not working mate, exhausted from doing the same thing a million times all day, so much for half term
  14. I followed the top post on this page, but everytime i saved and uploaded it came up with an error It was too easy the last time i did it for my school Sorry to be a pain all day :s
  15. Anyone out there I can give the access to and have a look at it, i've got a feeling i've screwed something somewhere coz i've completely lost the joomla installation page now. Spent all *bloomin'* day trying to get it to work, and i'm no closer now If anyone has a few mins spare i'd be so appreciative
  16. Yes it says "unwritable" and "Not Set" (sorry for the lack of info on that earlier). Within which file do i need to put that code? (session_save_path('/)) in order to provide the server with the information it needs and where is the default joomla session folder located?
  17. It's a hosted site, UK2 business hosting package, linux shared hosting. http://www.uk2.net/web_hosting/ Hope I haven't gone for the wrong hosting "session.save_path no value no value "
  18. Sorry to be a novice, but how do I check that? (sorry if i'm causing any trouble to you) Cheers Steve
  19. I've set everything as full permission just to test, still hasn't sorted it
  20. Hi guys, I've been looking for hours now but i'm completely stumped as to why during the installation of Joomla on my new hosting it is saying that the "Session save path" is "Unwriteable" I've trield many methods to try and resolve this but I still can't find what I'm doing wrong. Has anyone found a resolution for this? Cheers in advance Steve
  21. It's actually my own venture, but of course i'll send over a little donation Thanks Sys
  22. Is there anywhere with the bits and bobs about the Joomla Edugeek terms and conditions. Does edugeek have specific changes to it's terms above and beyond the joomla terms, or do you have to use the same? My basic question is, can I create a personal/business website using the edugeek joomla package?
