1. Was just about to ask the same question.. Will keep my eye on this thread!
2. We use mandatory profiles for staff that are not deleted at log off for staff. They do not have admin access over the laptop but enough to connect to their WiFi. At this point they have their normal domain laptop but then just VPN into the school. Matt
3. You say you've joined it to the domain... I know you've probably tried this but is it sticking on a script or an MSI install? Matt
4. I like that idea but- We have Surface RT's, not able to install anything Meraki wise on them as far as I know. We would like something a bit more closer to home (well.. School). Like a location on a school map. Matt
5. Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere, my search-fu isnt great today. I know such a technology exists where you can stick a sticker to a say camera or tablet and you can locate it around school using the WiFi. Has anybody used this and what are their experiences? We are using UniFi Pro AP's. Matt
6. As far as I am aware this is not possible, its a security measure put in place by Apple. The only way we have got Apps to install silently was using Apple Configurator on our iMac. Matt

FINALLY!

They bought me air con! Server room is at a cool 20 degrees... Ahh! Teachers seem to love me now though! Matt
10. Also if you right click on a user in AD and select copy it will create a home folder in the root directory of the person you have copied with the new persons username and appropriate perms. Matt

Domain Name

.local in all 12 Schools as nothing is visible outside. All primaries so no Macs planned. Matt
12. I've been getting that trying to search threads. Matt
13. Ive signed up with StartSSL and theyve verified me. I need to get an SSL cert for my HAP istall but im stuck as what to do now. I need to validate a domain name... I don't know if this is the schools web domain name, which is different to our internal domain name as it is hosted externally. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Matt.
14. Gimme Gimme...
15. Hello! We've just installed HAP and want to put a link on our website to it. My question is, how? Im not very knowledgable when it comes to linking an internal web server onto an outside site. I assume port forwarding and the like but thought i'd ask first! Thanks, Matt
16. Ahh Nick, was just going to reply to @chilli's thread, installing Webdav has fixed it. I am able to Download files but not Open them. I get "The given key was not present in the dictionary" then a not found error. Not a huge issue as staff can download then upload. Matt
17. I actually replied to another thread saying I had the same issue and its literally just been fixed.
18. How would I know if WEBDAV is installed? Is it an IIs add on? I'm not too familiar with web hosting but keen to learn about it! Matt
19. Exactly the same set up here.. The head likes this a lot, very clean interface. Annoying to have everything so close and then fail! Matt
20. I have this exact problem, did you fix it @chilli ? @nickbro, can you help? Matt
21. I have 3 monitors in the office.. Not a cheap solution but a simple one! I can easily do three things at once! Matt
22. Bump... If i click Open on any file at all I get a 404 error. I notice the URL points to (HAP Root)/Download/, however that folder doesnt exist.. Is that right? Matt
23. I have fixed the issue with no images apearing, i hadnt set the AppPool perms correctly. I still have the issue where I can browse through the directory tree and see the contents of folders but when i click Open or Download on any file I get the "Not Found" error above. I am sure its something simple but I dont have a lot of knowledge with IIS. Matt
24. Hi there! Just install HAP and we are very impressed however, No images load (the icons for the folders) and we can view the contents of a mapped drive but cannot open anything, we get a not found error. I am guessing this is permissions issue but have no idea where to look, IIS, folder perms etc! I have attached the screenshots, any help is appreciated! Matt
