HAP V10 and Office 365 for room admin emails
fairm010 replied to tj2419's topic in Home Access Plus+
I'm using O365 for my Helpdesk on HAP. See this thread: http://www.edugeek.net/showthread.php?t=134741 -
I have used a USB_Cat5e converter whilst using WDS and it worked although I think it was very slow.
-
Address: smtp.office365.com Port: 587 SSL: On You must go to the Exchange admin center and select the mailbox. Under Mailbox Delegation add the helpdesk account you are sending as in the Send As box. All should be good!
-
I now use Office365 with HAP. You must set SendAs and set yourself.
-
Yes, using their SMTP details in HAP. Although I am literally about to try using the instructions on this thread: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/142041-hap-v10-office-365-room-admin-emails.html

Have you added the site to the list of sites to bypass the proxy? I have 6 Xibo TV's running here so I can try to help
-
Is this on the Xibo server or client? Either way, you will need to either disable your proxy settings on the machine or define it in the bypass.

I believe Adblock is available for Google Chrome too. Not sure it is possible in is. -
Also I don't have a space in any of my shared folder mappings. Try a folder without IE StaffShare
-
I know Nick said not to but I use the Read and Write to attributes and the drive is hidden. Try \\server1\Staff\StaffShare\Teachers Share 1. Unless you use quotas on the staff shared area (I Dont) use drivespace in usage mode. Also you had a space in the path, not sure if by accident?
-
Then use ShowTo=$StaffSecurityGroup. Thats what I use and it works. This is my staff shared area that doesnt show to children. \\server2\StaffOnly$
-
Either way, its on the wall now! xD

I like (and have stolen) the IT crowd one but surely it is the wrong way round? Liek this:

That means the GPO is open to any authenticated user / computer on the domain which is default. Yes change to create, that might do the trick!
-
Under Scope under the GPO's settings is the computer name in Security Filtering?
-
I'd re-create a users roaming profile and see if its a profile issue.
-
Does the issue affect all users?
-
Do you use roaming profiles?
-
Yeah never the less what an amazing thing to do!

I agree with the comments, slightly misleading title.
