A similar thread may exist already but my search-fu is failing me today. We are looking to jump on the tablet (iPad) bandwagon and I need a list of pro's and con's of the things. I am very apprehensive about buying them after reading some of the threads on here but am open to using them providing they can do the right things. My main things are: Can I silently push apps to them? Can I prevent a child: Setting funny/rude wallpapers? Setting lockcodes to prevent the next user using them? Turning off Wifi? Amongst others.. Please can people share their their pros and cons of these infernal things that I can produce for SLT? Thankyou Perhaps @abillybob can help?

Is this running on Xibo? Do you use AD Auth filtering? We had to set our digital signage controllers to bypass AD auth. Also, flash player must be up to date on the machines, as it is basically a YouTube stream.

Im not sure what to suggest but since our BBC stream stopped working I use Sky news now. I can provide you the code if you'd like?

Can you set it there but use security filtering so it only takes affect on his account?

I use UptimeRobot to poll our internally hosted websites every 15 minutes. Mine is set to email me but it can DM you on twitter. You can build with it using its API too. https://uptimerobot.com/

Herp Derp Herp Derp. @LosOjos You were right. Reset monitor to factory settings, all ok! I derped, of course the screenshots worked, they are nothing to do with the monitor. I didn't even look at them! One of those days... - - - Updated - - - I'm more pissed that I have re-imaged the thing for no reason!

I have an odd one I hope Edugeek can help with. Whenever one user open Excel they have no cell borders. I have ticked View -> Gridlines and I have also ensured that the cells are not coloured white. I got so frustrated with this I just re-imaged the machine and it STILL does it. This said to me that it was a GPO interfering. The peculiar thing is that the two other machines in the office (Same OU, same GPO's) do no exhibit the same problem.
