Is it any use backing up the Hyper-V folder in the nightly backup as it's 42GB and the data running on the virtual servers is backed up and exported by other means anyway. Just thinking aloud as I don't want to waste time if this folder can not be used as the backup. So in short the question is can the D:\Hyper-V folder be used from a backup if I needed to restore a virtual server?

We've got a problem with IEP Writer not saving/opening IEP's correctly. Basically when staff make a new IEP and click preview the file is saved in the IEPV3\students folder correctly. I can verify this by opening said file with notepad and the data is there. Now back in Sims, if I open the same IEP the targets are still there but extra data like the strengths box are gone. We're using v3.11.0.1 and release 7.11.0.1

Hi, I'm posting here as I think this is a OS problem rather than a fog problem. Right so I've got (or had) Fog running on Ubuntu 12.04. It was working fine on Monday but now it's not booting and giving the error I've found this link installation - Boot error > no such device: grub rescue - Ask Ubuntu but don't want to try until I've had a second opinion and of course I don't have a backup as that would make it too easy As long as I can get the images off the server I will be happy but it would be even better if this problem could be fixed.

Windows I think but the EMBC server are all over the place at the moment so that doesn't help.

Hi, So I fancy playing with joomla but I don't know what I'm doing when setting it up. I've copied the files to a folder on the schools web space which is hosted by the EMBC. I've started the joomla setup file but it's asking questions about database names, passwords and tables. Has anyone got a setup guide that would help me as I'm completely lost with making the database. Thanks.

Well most of the splitters here are 8 years old apart from 1 which is new and this was the only computer which played DVD's so I knew the splitter was at fault.

Using VLC worked a treat. I could have replaced the splitters but VLC was the cheaper option.

Sorry I don't work there so can't say. I keep an eye on the vacancies in hope that something will turn up but nothing has so far

Upgraded most of the schools computers over the summer to Win 7 and I'm getting reports that they are unable to play DVD's in the classroom. I've tracked the problem to the video splitter as removing this and connecting the PC direct to either the monitor or projector the DVD plays fine. The error I'm getting is I've found that changing the splitter fixes this but is there any other way apart from replacing the splitters on all the problem computers?

What is classed as a long logon time and how much quicker are your loggings now you have the update installed? With win7 I'm struggling to get the login time below 42 seconds with mandatory profiles.

I'm thinking it's time for a new roof but instead of picking a company by how good their website looks I thought I would ask for recommendations first. So what I'm looking for is a company in the Leicester area which deals with domestic roofs. I've already had a couple of 'roofers' round and either they never came back with a price or wanted to do the job without going through the books which is no good to me as I want a warranty on the work done.

How about WinToFlash - Install Windows from usb - Home page which I use to put UBCD on memory stick. If you want to use Clonezilla see Clonezilla Live on USB. If anyone knows how to partition a memory stick so it has two partitions I would be very interested as I want to boot from one partition and keep the images on the other.
