I too have the Lumia 520 and I'm very happy with it. Got it through Talkmobile £7 a month deal in October and came with 250 minutes, 5000 texts and 250MB which I see has now been replaced with a £8.50 deal with increased data to 500MB. Lots of bad reviews about Talkmobile level of service but I've found them ok myself and after taking off what the phone would of cost I'm not paying a lot for the calls. 250MB of data is not a much but I use wifi most of the day so last month I only use 4MB of data so this package is right for me.

Teacher dug this usb hub out of a draw and low and behold it has been PAT tested. It doesn't even have a psu!

Virustotal is flagging it as infected with a trojan (2/45) although the two programs that say it's infected I've never heard of before.

Ripped with media player but it doesn't rip the cdg files.

This year the staff Christmas party is in school with meal cooked by the HT. Afterwards there will be karaoke and I have been handed a bunch of CDs that need a CDG player. I have tried Winamp and download the CDG pluging CDG Disk Player Plugin - Winamp but it doesn't work. Any recommendations for a free player?

Yes I would be interested in the price as well please. Our ISPs filter is pain to get anything unblocked so would love to move to in house filtering.

Thanks guys now I really do feel like a prat! As @SovietRussia pointed out the folder path had a typo I've added the GP now I need to find suitable wallpaper I can customize.

Should be a simple thing but I'm unable to change the logon background. So far I have HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System\useOEMBackground set to 1 In c:\windows\system32\oobe\inf\backgrounds there are 2 images, background1024x769.jpg and background1280x1024.jpg both under 165KB. I've rebooted but the logon wallpaper is unchanged as shown here. Is there a policy that would prevent the above from working?

Internet seems slow today and Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test shows ping 237, download 0.72 and upload 3.18 whereas Kcoms own speedtest gives ping 7, download 7.35 and upload 7.34. Who is correct?

I moved to BT in April and although connection speed is lower the throughput is better and I can now watch a HD youtube video without buffering.

I've got a Averision CP150 with a ripped out UBS connector. Don't ask me how they managed to do that as the whole socket is gone so can only imagine they must have had pliers. Does anybody know of a company that could repair this? Thanks.

I've been deleting the deleted items for 5 years at my schools and everyone is aware and ok with it. I started doing this because I was finding users had deleted items that had been there since exchange arrived at the school and the bin had never been emptied. Users just don't care how much resources they use and a good example would be the user who had the 512 unread emails. If the emails had been of any value they would have at least been opened. I'm at a small primary school today and looking at the mailbox sizes I can see 25% of users have over 1GB and the office manager who has 3.4GB.

I'm setting up the retention policies to empty the deleted and junk folders after 14 days and was wondering what policies other schools use. I was with a user yesterday and they had 512 unread emails in their inbox spanning 6 years so a pollicy to delete unread emails say after 90 days might be useful in this situation and as teachers tend to email files to colleagues their sent folder can soon grow so perhaps a policy to clean up the sent folder would be useful as well.

I did manage to extract the msi from the exe and a quick test shows it installs ok and without the word/powerpoint plugins which is what I was looking for. One thing I've still yet to find is the user guide for the A+ suite if you fancy a challenge

We've got a number of Avermedia visualisers that I've been given and have downloaded the Avermedia A+ suite. It looks good and will save having to use extra AV cables but I'm not sure of the Word and Powerpoint plugins that it comes with as in the past I've found that adding plugins to Word can make it unstable. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with this software and how can I extract the .msi from the .exe? Thanks in advance.
