Thanks for the replies. It seems the problem has died down a bit now that we have reset profiles and updated the drivers. We have also set the print to go directly to the printer. It's funny how things can go a bit weird for a while then die down afterwards!

Hi All We are having a strange problem at the moment and has only started happening since we upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2010. The problem seems to be a bit random at the moment with some users. Most of our printers are Brother 6050DN. When printing emails from Outlook or reports from SIMS, for some users the printout is not readable and it's coming out in what looks like corrupt characters with plenty of random numbers, letters and squares! I have updated the drivers and changed a setting on the printer from Print Fonts as Graphics to Download as TrueType. We have deleted and re-added the printers but still no luck. Can anybody offer any assistance? Cheers gl3nnym

Not sure where the company stands about making staff work different shifts but I don't think you are selfish at all. To be honest I find it hard at the moment when I get home at 5pm and my wife doesn't get home until 7-8pm. I know it's not too late but we don't see each other in the mornings as I am gone really early. This does make spending the weekends together much better though!! Maybe it would be an idea if she discusses her concerns to the new bosses? If they can be flexible for one person then surely they can for someone else who has special requirements?

At least typing, printing and blu-tacking is a lot more hygienic than faecal messages. Much easier to clean off too! They could even print off in brown and download a poo type font!

I had this problem once with Chrome. Then it randomly fixed it self which was odd.. Sorry, bit of a pointless reply.

Does anybody have any other ideas? Is there another way I can force this through some kind of script?

Hi le4ne Thanks for the reply. We are not in a position to change filters at the moment so have to stick with SmartCache2. I need to find a way to force safe search somehow otherwise I will be have a long weekend manually changing every computer (according to RM). This seems to be the only way they can access Google Images.

Hi All As the title says really. We have an issue with our RM SmartCache 2 server whereby a pupil can go on to Google Images but if they search for something it gets blocked by "Content Filtering". There are no policies blocking it and rules have been setup to allow access. We have found though that if a pupil manually sets the search preferences to Strict then they can browse images just fine. RM have told me that there is nothing they can do to help and that I will have to manually set it on about 700 computers which tbh I am not keen to do! Is there a way I can automate this at all? Any help appreciated :-) Cheers

Sorry to bring it up again but is there a way I can change the layout of the calendar on the room booking page? I would like to change the x and y axis so that the rooms are listed across the top and each row is a separate period. Thank you :-)

I have finally got our timetable into the booking system! This is probably a silly question but on the booking page, is there a way to manipulate the sheet so that the lessons are on the left and the rooms are at the top? At the moment the lessons are at the top and the rooms are on the left. Sorry for being confusing :-S

@sister_annex Installed a completely new instance and only changed the web.config where it needed it, all working well now :-) Thanks! I don't support the Booking System "Import from SIMS" is working is it? Would like to use this great feature but I know it was on hold for a while... That's probably a question for @nickbro. Thanks for the app. Our Maths department told me today it's a godsend and they love it!

I tried this before I tried Evernote. To be honest it never appealed to me that much and I have never really taken it on properly. Evernote won me over straight away. I still don't really "get" Springpad although I do have an account still. I would also be interested to hear others views and how they are using it.

I have just gone through the exact same thing. Apparently I am the schools e-safety office, doing tons of extra work but I will be getting nothing at all for it.
