You able to check what other settings there are on ya router they provided or is it totally toasted ? Maybe get them to send you a replacement router and see what other settings there are. Aren't there VC and other adsl settings that you need ?

Can't you get it to clone the MAC address of there router and do it that way ? Just a thought

No idea - don't see why not though as the draytek vigor 120 is an actual DSL Modem as apposed to the netgear modems that aren't that brilliant, prolly better speaking to KCOM Support etc ?

A Draytek Vigor 120 ( to deal with the DSL Connection ) and a linksys 1900ac router ? Failing that maybe a netgear router and do something similar ?

Maybe time to use the parts from this machine and as per your other thread, build a new rig. That way you have a machine that you know will work, 2 it will be faster / better as newer Mobo / RAM , CPU and power supply etc etc If you have a bit of money left over you can continue to try and get this one working If you do get it working great, you can have two machines and at worst if you can't get it working or it continues to have other issues then you have a new machine

I was thinking power management stuff whether windows or power management software but then if that was the case it would be like you didn't have a wifi card as you wouldn't even see the wireless networks and the same if it were disabled in the bios as windows wouldnt see your wifi card in device manager let alone see the wireless networks Maybe a driver issue as per dos box's suggestion

Same as @nephilim's graphics card and other equipment that makes use of a thermal paste or pads. They get used a lot and get dried out or don't dissipate the heat as well as when it was new and freshly applied so needs cleaning off and re applying / refreshing from time to time

as per above an alcohol of some description ( ethanol or similar ) or a tim cpu / heatsink cleaner to clean off old thermal paste from / off the cpu and or heatsink and apply some new thermal paste and re apply the heatsink Which @Arthur has already suggested

Should be instructions on how to dis-connect the wireless card and re-seat it along with the antennae cable(s) back into / onto the same connectors that they were using originally connected to and put it back together and try again Also maybe reset tcp/ip stack / winsocks using netsh command and update the wireless card driver ( I normally un-install it through device manager and tick the checkbox to delete the driver and then either reboot and install the driver freshly and reboot again and then try again or just install the new wifi card driver after removing it and reboot TCP/IP reset command from a command prompt running as admin Netsh int ip reset Winsock reset from command prompt Netsh winsock reset If its windows 7 may be worthwhile resetting the firewall to defaults and checking what profile has been set against the wifi connection ie public, home, work etc Just wondering can you get the wifi to work in safe mode / from a linux live disc etc Get the drivers from the wireless card manufacturers site ( not dell ) see if they are any better

Run diagnostics on ram, hard drive's etc. any bios updates ? Maybe backup data, format the drive and re image / re install windows and get rid of there av etc

Presume this is resolved using the bat script etc or did you want / need this in a different script ie vbs / powershell etc ?

Use the remote to put the projector on another input that will not show them the ipad screen , enter the unlock code and put the video source input back to the mirrored input
