Disconnect cmos battery for a few mins and re connect and try again Also burn the latest bios update to cd and try and update and also run latest diagnostics cd on ram and hard drive. Maybe even manufacturer hdd tests and memtest86+ diags

Shouldn't that be 802.11ac FinAL Revision 2 and not draft. Otherwise doesn't that indicate that the standards on how you make and deal with all the tea / coffee and mug in and mug out requests are not standardised which means there is most likely lots of issues / bugs / errors / faults on your part?? -

840 evo 250gb £98.79 : Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5 inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories M550 256gb - £121.19 inc. VAT ( direct from crucial ) @Arthur - I am assuming the 840 evo I linked to is the correct one ? If so then the 840 evo is cheaper and faster
-
I presume it is the M550 you have gone for : http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listmodule/SSD/~M550~/list.html

I would re-install windows 7 with SP1 and ensure that the latest AHCI / chipset and other drivers are installed
-
I would say replace RAM Module with a decent memory module ( crucial / Kingston etc so not Hynix ) Replace the cmos battery with a new one Try and power up and flash the bios via cd I would say Only other thing is the power supply you are using , is it definitely the correct power supply that outputs enough wattage to charge and run that model of laptop Only reason I ask is that we had a model of T410 that had similar powering on issues and it turns out it needed a higher wattage power supply and NOT the standard 65w 20v jobby What do you think @ICTDirect_Dave or @Arthur

I'm with sky and there SR102 or whichever model it is seems to be ok on wireless although it is only 2.4ghz so have disabled Wireless on the sky router and use my AEBS to deal with wireless and if I need to transfer any large amount of data over the network I plug all the devices into the AEBS hard wired which is gigabit AEBS ( Apple Airport Extreme Base Station ), the one I have is the 5th gen so dual band ( 2.4 and 5ghz )
