I presume you just created a group and stick the accounts in there. I think I’m just worried about getting locked out lol we have another account that in the event of being locked out we can get back in - this was based on Microsoft security recommendations Thanks

I don't know if this just affects us or not but when new users are created I want the MFA status to be enforced automatically upon account creation for new members of staff, as at the moment I have to enforce it through office 365 is there a better way of managing this? we use salamander to create the accounts which do get placed into an MFA group as part of the conditional access but just wondering if there was another way.

You have to change the permissions on the share point back end I will try and find what you need to change for tomorrow

I’m not 100 % but it could be that you might have needed to upgrade the configuration version of the vm What version is it ? I presume your vm is still OK? I mean you could try building a new vm and just copy the vhdx exported version and see if it boots

When you imported the vm did you restore using the same guid or create a new one ? Think it’s the middle option Also does the account your using have the correct permissions to modify the folder your restoring to ? Also what version did you export the vm from (host os)

Just wondered how other schools are doing this We are about to look at some backup costing for exchange online now. We have never ever need to recover emails for a pupils And the for the first time in 15+ years I had to restore sent items to our deputy head which had over 2000 emails - thanks to veeam worked beautifully Would be interested to see what other schools do

I do agree with this What was the last thing you did before everything went wrong? Do you have any backups ? Do you have any issues with logging on I.e netlogon service ? Have you done a dcdiag ? If so what are the results? What state is DFRs in 0-5 ? Are you able to share event logs from the last 24 hours ? Thanks

How many DCs do you have ? Like when you add any domain controller it would replicate and be added DFRs topology Personally I would most probably try and demote and remove the dc via normal demotion if possible shutdown and and destroy and replace it last thing you want is bad replication You could try and resolve the issue but sometimes it’s better to cut your loss than try and “fix” something that potentially could lead to further issues.

I know it’s not the sort of program I would class as Remote Desktop application but you could use impero? We also use logMein rescue for outside of school unless the they are connected via vpn then we will use impero Or alternatively you could use the function within SCCM and use the remote connection tool. same issue here I ended up making local login and sent her on her way with the software installed

We don’t use roaming profiles and profiles are deleted upon reboot and start up if that helps

what did you do to get the week we use A B system so guessing you do the same ?
