-
As today is a very fine day I thought I would share my view from my window if any one else has any be good to see
-
found this web site thought I would share .NET Framework Setup Verification Tool User's Guide - Aaron Stebner's WebLog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs for checking your .net installations
-
Lol thata strange I take it you have checked share level permission what about if you explicitly put the teachers account on the folder and give them full access also use the permission audit tab which will also give you an indication of what permission will be applied to the folder when you add them
-
yea I have that ticked "use the same user credentials for RD gateway and RD Session Host Server"
-
got the remote desktop working from home now which is working well, only thing that is bugging me is that I have to put in the password twice have I got an extra feature turned on that im not aware of because I cant seem to find it or is because when the user connects to the gateway server it asks for there credentials to be authenticated against the server and then creates a session to the remote server and then prompts them for their login details as if they were at the machine inside school but yet they have already logged into the remote desktop web site ?
-
right ok I just thought that the broker would know this as I'm using it to connecting to the server
-
@zag ok I've now setup a staff server for staff to connect to yesterday I was able to connect to the broker server which was the one that had all the roles on and I was able to connect more than 2 users on now that I have setup this new server I've just tired to remote on to the server to test again and I get the same issue I did yesterday and that was not allowed more than 2 users do I need to add a role and point it to the licencing server ?
-
think we are ok I've had up to 7 people on
-
@localzuk yea that's right it says that in the RD Session Host Config I've opened it and it tells me the server name and also tells me the number if licenses available for and the licensing mode is per user further down under remote desktop services license server information it give me the name of the of the server the credentials which is available and the connectivity which is available when I click on the start RD Licensing manager on the right hand side I have a the name of the server which has a green tick and the activation status is activated, the scope is domain and the configuration is ok the type of licence is Windows Server 2008 or Windows 2008R2: installed TS or RDS per user CALS any thing else I should check for ?
-
yea that's right is selected as per user do I need to tell the server that i'm connecting to about the RDs Licencing server ?
-
-
I think so yea all of the roles are all on 1 server and I have a green tick in my RD Licensing manager
-
I have setup remote desktop through the web however when I connect to my servers im still only allow a max of 3 connections however I have a volume licence installed in the RD Licensing manager for a RDS per user CALS for a total of 1500 and yet as I say it wont allow me to have more than 3 sessions what am I doing wrong ?
