Does anyone know if it is possible to remotely issue the GPUPDATE /force /boot command to multiple computers on my network in one go? I can export the computer names from Active Directory if that helps, but when exporting, it seems to export other columns like "Type" and "Modified" which may not be useful. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help with this. Ok, I have followed the guide and added in "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon - Enabled" onto one of the GPOs within the correct OU. Have restarted the machines a few times, but still, it does not want to install. In the event log, under System, I am now getting 5 events. In order: Information, Source: Application Management Group Policy: The description for event ID 301 from source Application Management Group Policy cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. The following information was included with the event: Impero Client Impero The handle is invalid Next event, similar text to before but this time, further down: ImperoClientSVC "C:\Program Files (x86)\Impero Solutions Ltd\ImperoClientSVC.exe" user mode service auto start LocalSystem The handle is invalid Various other errors, all saying at the bottom, the handle is invalid. Any ideas? If I run the Impero MSI manually, it runs with no issues, so doesn't look like the MSI can be corrupted.

Hi there, we have just signed up for Impero for one year. It comes with a deployable MSI. Their technical team have added it via Group Policy, but I am seeing the following two errors in the individual computer event logs. Can anyone tell me what these mean? “The assignment of application Impero Client from policy Impero failed. The error was: %%1274” “The removal of the assignment of application Impero Client from policy failed. The error was : :%%2”

This was my thought. We used the 32 bit version originally as the systems were on 7 32 bit. But as time has moved on, they have been upgraded to Windows 10 64bit. Seemed more trouble than it was worth to change back to 32bit. Also, it would then cause issues with other systems as they all get the same start menu layout on Windows 10. If some had 32-bit, they would not get the correct Office tiles.

Hi there, I am trying to deploy Microsoft Office 2016 to our Windows 10 stations in our ICT suite with PDQ deploy. When deploying, if I am logged into one of the computers, I get the following message pop up: We can't install the 64-bit version of Office because we found the following 32-bit programs on your PC: Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013. Please uninstall all 32-bit Office programs, then retry installing 64-bit Office. I am a little confused as in the MSP for Office 2016, I have set Remove previous installations to "Remove the following earlier versions of Microsoft Office programmes" to "Remove All". Is it only looking for older 64-bit versions of Office and not the 32? The 2013 office has been installed on the systems as part of a Group Policy Object domain wide. I have never done it before, but does anyone know if there is a way I can remove this for these particular computers? Thanks for any help on this.

Hi there, I have MDT running on my 2012 server. I have set it up to install a Windows 10 1803 install, which works perfectly, other than the languages being in US. I have now just added in Office 2016 with the configurations I wanted. Do I now need to re-install Windows 10 1803 via MDT Deployment Workbench by booting to network and re-installing everything again to get Office to go onto the computers I already imaged before I added Office 2016 to Applications in the Deployment Workbench?

Hi there, Is there any way to change the default WDS language? When I boot a system to WDS, before picking any OSs, on the main welcome screen, I am getting US, which is annoying! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Interesting, I gave the Group Policy another restart and now it seems fine. How odd. I think this issue is now rectified. Will keep an eye on it, but seems ok for now. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks Steve, have replaced, but getting exactly the same error as before. My server version is Server 2012 R2 build 9600 if that helps?

Ah right ok. I don't think I have the backups any longer. I literally cleared everything out this morning, and then found the fault was there in group policy. Unfortunately, server had 19mb of space on C drive so I had to take drastic action. It turned out there was almost 195gb of temp files. But alas, I no longer have the old adml files. Can't believe MS have not released a fix for this yet. I am sure this is not the first time this has come up. Presumably, it means that some policies will not be functioning.

I have copied the same file from working servers, but they are all 2016 ones. I do not have any 2012 servers to copy one from. I can't remember what the latest central store version to be updated was.

Are there any guides on how to add office to it? I had been using PDQ for a while, but then it just stopped working, and couldn't get any answers as to what was causing it.

Office Deployment Tool can be used but this will not produce a msi? I have heard that some schools us SCCM. Would this be the best method to use and if so, how and where can I get this? I am using server 2012

Hi there, I am having a spot of bother. I have moved into a new build house and despite being very close to a major airport and several large towns, all with high speed internet. There is nothing here. I am stuck on a copper broadband line with a max upload of 1.5mbps. I use LGfL broadband at work and have VPN access to the network, however, with these poor speeds, the VPN is laggy and becoming impossible to use for RDP sessions. LGfL are very competitive with their pricing, and have saved us many thousands over the years. I am tempted to put some of those savings to good use and order some sort of business 4G connection such that I can use it for work purposes. Does anyone have any experience of good suppliers of this and rough cost ideas? I saw a few online, but they had pretty low monthly data transfer limits. I would be looking to sign up for 12mths and then review my current broadband situation then. 4G coverage is very good here, and seems the best possible and cost effective option at the moment. I spend at least two days per week working from home, so this is something that would be well used.

Hi there, I have a small school I look after requesting admin password details for their ICT suite systems. I would not normally give these out but on account of the lack of money they have and such small support contract they have, I was wondering if I could create them a local admin account via group policy? The install instructions state the following for installing via MSI: Thankfully, there are no proxy details at my site, however, I am unsure how to add such an MSI to Group Policy such that it runs silently. I have the MSI in question, it is called "Setup.MBEndpointAgent.x64". Can anyone tell me how best to add this to Group Policy such that it runs and installs silently to each machine in the OU? Hi there, What is the best way to run this command line to all of my Windows 10 stations as an administrator through Group Policy? C:\Windows\System32\powercfg.exe -H OFF I want to remove the hibernate file in-conjunction with a group policy which disables hibernation and sleep.

When signed in as administrator, it looks just like that, but if you go back to my OP, it looks like it does in the start menu there if you are on as any other user.
