That was exactly it. Thanks very much for suggesting. I have executed the wizard and got the settings on. Uninstalled the software so the GPO can re-install it again. Rebooted and gupdated several times, and software not coming through. So there is another issue. This site seems to have issue after issue. The GPO in question has all of the relevant groups in Security Filtering and has link enabled. I had issues with this before. I have done a GPResult and half of the policies that should be getting applied are not even showing. Not sure what could be causing the issue this time.

Good suggestion, have been trying this for the past hour but the server is refusing to connect to the client machine. I can remotely connect Computer Management no issue, all firewall settings are disabled, but Registry Editor or Registry Wizard on Group Policy are just coming back saying unable to connect / The network path was not found. Can't work it out.

Thank you. This is the way I used to do things, but as this is a folder, I am not sure that this will work. This method would usually be done just for one value. The problem I have is that there are 13 REG_SZ entries within the folder in question. Things like...Address, Post Code, Licence Key, Terms Accepted, email, serial number, organisation.

Hi there, I have a registry key from a test computer which contains software activation config info. I would like to deploy this to all stations in a particular Group Policy OU. The registry export I have taken is a registry folder. from within HKLM>Software How best can I do this? All of the stations are Windows 10 and the server is Server 2012. For more detailed information, review the event log or run GPRESULT /H GPReport.html from the command line to access information about Group Policy results. Certain Computer policies are enabled that can only run during startup. OK to restart? (Y/N) I reboot the system, when I log back in and do a GPUpdate, same error again. I have run GPReport as it suggests. Half of the GPOs I have for the OU the system is in are not even showing. What is going on here? I don't seem able to attach the GP Report. Thank you both. VERY unfortunate and frustrating. By stacked, the iPads are stacked horizontally with gaps in between so there should be room for heat dissipation. I wonder if it would be better to put the charger on a timer plug such that it only ever charges for a set amount of time each day? This would be handy particularly for holidays. What I don't get is that other iPads are absolutely fine. It is just the iPad Pros. I have standard iPad airs in the same case as well as Minis and older iPads and they are all fine with no signs of any issues. Maybe the Pros have a different battery technology?

Hi there, I am in a state of disbelief. We have 2 x Bretford PowerSync+ Stations stacked ontop of one another. I opened the top station at the start of the week to remove three iPads to send to have the screens repaired and found over six of our iPad Pros had swollen batteries. One appears to have burst and sprayed a sticky substance all over the one next to it. I contacted Apple who suggested that I remove them from use (duh) and agreed they could repair them at a price of just under £100 each. They were not prepared to do this for free. I am left with a very expensive repair bill but more importantly, I have no idea of why so many have gone like this. The room they are in, ICT suite, can get hot and currently has no A/C as an extension is being built which meant the ac had to be disconnected. The room has been far hotter in the summer when the iPads were all connected in. I am just at a loss as to what has caused this and any method of recourse I may have in getting some of the money covered. They are all iPad Pro 9.7 inch iPads. Around 2 years old. What is interesting is the case also had older iPads inside (ones without the lightning port) as well as newer iPad mini's. None have swollen, just the 9.7inch pros. These were really expensive at the time of purchase and I am really disappointed to see so many totally out of action. Does anyone have any ideas on why this has happened or similar experiences?

Thank you. What would be the best way of me adding these? Their instruction document recommended adding an adm file into Group Policy. It had all of the properties in your switch which I have already populated, but it seems to be failing to deploy to any stations.

Thanks, after some digging on their site, I found the instructions for using Group Policy. I have added the adm file and configured the info as well as put in the site licence. I am just focused on Lynx for the time being. It isn't deploying to any client stations. I have opened Event Viewer and under System, I am getting a warning: The assignment of application Lynx from policy Lynx6.5.3.0 failed. The error was: %%1274. Any ideas? Could this be a UAC related issue?

I am able to find the 64-bit MSI downloader, we have a site licence, but I am not too sure how I can get the site licence onto the MSI and deploy it via Group Policy. Having an odd issue with Word and my Head teacher. She has a word document with a graph. It was made by a head at another school. If she tries to edit the graph by right clicking and selecting Edit Data, she should get a small mini-excel window on Word called Chart in Microsoft Word, but it isn't opening on any of our Admin computers. Works fine on my computer, but mine is standalone. It also runs Office 2016... Any ideas what settings must be mis-configured?

Thank you for that. Interesting. I had it there, I know I did, but it was disabled for some reason. Not sure what that was all about. Re-enabled and now it seems to be working. Will do a quick test image and see what happens. Does anyone know how you can set the Locale & Time settings? My language etc are all English UK, but getting US - English for keyboard settings and UTC-0800 Pacific Time as default time setting. They are changeable on the dropdown but it is a pain and I deliberately downloaded the Windows 10 International not English version.

Hello, Can anyone give me some ideas on why my MDT is not working when I am network booting and installing Windows 10? I have a Windows 10 1809 image in WDS which is working perfectly. In MDT, I have added the same image (tried importing it from WDS but it didn't work, so actually imported the image separately). I have it showing in Operating Systems, I have a Task Sequence set up for it also. I have imported Office 2016 x32 under Applications. Again, I have a Task Sequence set up for Office along with a config XML file. Where am I going wrong? This used to work perfectly before, you would F12 to boot to network, Windows would install and MDT would ask you to sign onto the domain and pick a station name. Now, all I am getting is a bog standard WDS install of Windows 10, where I am having to manually add in user accounts, put computer on domain etc. Any ideas would be great.

Dave, thanks very much for looking into this for me. I have noted this all down and will put it into my request for the head. I am assuming the servers will have no OS, so I need to factor in licencing costs for that. Thanks again.

I know! Though, they did spend hours on it, but the issue was the lack of storage and could have been so easily fixed with a bigger drive for the OS. I have had no complaints with the OS. It got so full, disk cleanup etc will not even run. It is knackered. Still running the shares at least, but is bound to go wrong completely soon.
