I actually prefer bikes that brake like that to be honest. One of the reasons I'd like a big BWM (with the Telelever front suspension) is because of the lack of diving when heavy breaking. I love the tigers, however I found them too top heavy (I am short though). That and the price compared to a similarly spec'ed BMW F700gs was too much...

I don't see the problem with drinking (coffee/tea/soft drinks) in the car while driving, so long as you are sensible about it. If I'm driving for more than an hour in the car I always have a bottle of water in the cup holder. I'll take a drink when I need one and the road conditions are suitable (not on a bend, no other cars close by, no danger of "surprise" junctions or people coming out of hidden walk ways. Same goes for coffee, I'll leave it in the cup holder until its warm (not hot) and sip away at it when conditions are suitable. It's a benefit of good thermal cups that coffee will stay warm for ages in it. Taking a drink in sensible conditions is no more dangerous than adjusting air con/radio/sat nav/talking with a passenger.

The VFR is not my kind of bike (too plastic fantastic for me) however I do see a lot of them on the roads up here, of various ages, so they must be doing something right for people! Your's still looks brand new from that picture @FragglePete !

I give it 6 months then just bin anything that is not addressed to someone who lives here, or on my street. 4 years later I'm still get bank statements and pay checks for the old occupants...

I've been out on both of mine a few times this year. Although not as much as I would have liked. The MSX passed its first MOT no bother, although the mechanical, being the helpful type, adjusted the clutch before bringing it back to me. I intentionally leave the clutch with a lot of play since with my small hands the reach when it is fully tightned to spec is right at my hand spans limit. I felt like a learner again when I got back on it! Added adjustable leavers to the wish list when I got home.... Thankfully I got a beautiful day for the MOT, the previous day it was snowing!

I told the manager in one wetherspoons about the out of date soya milk twice. Twice he said "oh sorry, I'll remove it and throw it out" On the third visit he still produced soya milk from the same batch when I asked for. I do give local folk a chance to redeem themselves before I take my complaint higher...

I'm a regular 'spoons goer. As anyone who follows me on twitter will know, my only real complaint about spoons is their lack of/rationing of soya milk. I turned to twitter to vent my annoyance as they never got back to me from their contact us forms. Guess I'll go back to spamming them whenever there is no soya milk (or its 3 months out of date, or I'm only allowed 2 of them with my unlimited coffee...) I can see why they are removing themselves from social media, but I think mostly it is to try and hide the fact they are not acknowledging feedback/problems.

To be honest, I have suspected this ever since I installed the facebook messenger app (I was off facebook for around 5 years until last summer). My phone is rarely any more than 6ft away from me, so if they do listen. It would hear absolutely everything I had to say. I've never bothered to scientifically test it though... I might now!

The Kuga was my first though too, that or an estate Focus (which is 4560mm in length) ST for the acceleration you want, however the 1.5 ecoboost engine feels rather snappy too. I would recommend at least test driving this engine. Fitting 3 "average" sized adults in the back may be difficult in a car that is under 4.4m if you also want a big boot I'm fining. 4 fit comfortable in the Focus (I have one) If the 5th person is slim then they can sit comfortably in the middle.

Nothing wrong with some rain, it's why our grass is lovely and green, our trees are full and bush and our cattle and sheep are well fed! Without the rain our rivers and loch's would be calmer and ultimately, our whisky wouldn't taste so good:D

I used to live in my dr marten (various pairs) and not once had a fully cracked sole... Have you got a picture? Most sole problems can be fixed on dr martens by simply melting the two sides back together - I once sliced down the side of the sole on one pair with a knife by accident. 5 min with a light and you would barely have known there was damage there. I moved away from dr marten due to their questionable quality standards these days. (my shiny purple boots ended up being black after all the shiny purple rubbed off them in a matter of months...) I now wear Altbergs or normal walking shoes.

Some flat earthers have taken to graffiti-ing road signs, walls, bridges up here. I cringe every time I see them, and it is the only occasions I have this complete desire to go clean it off. Most other graffiti I couldn't care less about.

Well done Bompalompalomp ! Now the fun biking shopping starts I'm another one who feels Szukis are heavy. I do have rather short legs though. I did MOD1 on an old SV650 with a lowered seat and found it very annoying to hold at a stop, manual moving around and I couldn't really reach the rear break when I had my left foot on the ground... I felt the weight was too far forward for my liking. However the bandit my other half had felt fine (although I never did ride it) The old XJ600 i done MOD 2 on I really enjoyed. Although I could get less of my foot down on that one than the SV650, it felt much lighter at a stop and simply fell into the corners when I wanted it too, unlike the sv650 which I was fighting a lot of the time. None are a patch on my F700GS though. Fell in love with it on the test ride and never looked back :-D
