we have all of those instaled to network shares with a problem (so long as the kids have read/write access! ) /edit but having re read your post thats probably unhelpful!. I wonder if they need msi's or if you can just do a network install and use a script to copy the folder to each local machine?. scores and history would be then stuck on one machine though.

A+ is a fairly straightforward exam in that its just about remembering facts, not like later exams where yuo have to apply knowledge. If you get a decent book, read it a couple of times and do all the stuff on the cd you'll be able to get through the exam easily i'm sure. good luck when you do sit it.

the only way to fully automate using gpo is to move to radius and wpa encrytion. We have ti set up to allow all domain pc's to authenicate and extrnal pc's can have a certficiate applied.

seems daft, ina new build it should be easy to lay lots of cables in trunking and hidden columns. It will probably reduce costs on there part, but the equipment to use it will cost you lots more and will still not give the same performance.

lot better for me, small enough that they can take impact and no moving bits like catches to break. mine regularly falls off my bed onto the floor without much hassle. i think if you buy it with insruance you should be suitably covered for all but the most melicious damage. i know rm offer this, but otehr companies might as well.

you can restore to a redirected folder, then use dcpromo /adv to promote the server to a dc using the info from your restore info.

just had WGA pop up on a few of our machines, the vlk on them is about 2 years old now. Once the new vlk is on they seem to behave normally. do vlk's expire? or is this part of the problem with the WGA updated i've noticed mentioned elsewere.

might be a silly question, but did you log off and back on again?
-
If they did it by more than 5 minutes they'd soon drop off the domain as the kerberos ticket would no longer be valid.

the mcse/a awards are made up of mcp's. Each mcp covers a different topic. Like every qualification you can get the certificate without really understanding the subject. My view is that it prepares you to use the skills in real life and gain the experience ( in the same way you'd read a manual before you do any job). have a look at the mcp's available and think about where you would like to go. http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcsa/windows2003/default.mspx
