Just went 64 bit and only hit three applications with issues. Micro smile which you can no longer buy as its 16bit and novat4 and some mfl program. Otherwise it's been fine. I setup a wmi query to change start menu if it's 64bit.

Hi All, Is anyone here using Wordpress as a cms for your main school website. I love using Wordpress but a few people have said it does not had all the features you would need. I think its hard to say how to generically manage technicians. You may have one which needs a lot of hand holding or you may have a tech who likes to fiddle a lot. Go with your gut and make it natural. I have seen network managers become friendly with techs and it can blow up in your face so be cautious.

Have a batch script which will uninstall Office2010 but by using the start /wait command it waits until you finish the original command which would be the uninstall and then run the second command which would be the reinstall. Example of batch. start /wait msiexec -u office2010.msi <<<< This will hold the script until its finished its current task. msiexec -x office2010.msi Not sure what the uninstall switch is for msiexec. Hope that makes sense.. Ross

Could you use a start / wait command on an uninstall then install after?

I did setup a similar one to you but learning the hard way I did not know that I had to use the proxy IP instead of DNS. By then I had a tone down version.

I have the same amount of space being used for my photos and I time machine my photos but I would take more comfort in knowing it was away from home. Tempted with google drive instead of drop box. Ross

You will need to look at the console log to see which files are being blocked and then add the blocked files to the allowed list. Ross

You can deploy apps with MDM solutions but its very very expensive! You can send application gifts to users if you have a list of email address.

I am in the same situation. I want to deploy AppleTV to all our class rooms for our iPad deployment but I would also need to buy a HDMI converter. I do have dual inputs on my amps so thats not such an issue. Ross

I found an app which allows you to setup an air play server on mac workstation so you could have your normal workstation displaying via the projector with your iPad streaming to it. AirServer - Bring full AirPlay and AirTunes to your Mac This is another way if you were not to have HDMI on your projectors and you may not want to buy VGA to HDMI converters. Ross
