ok i feel really stupid now!!!!!! I have been looking for this setting for quite some time (not that it will solve the problem of the policy not working) but wanted to find it.. I have not seen it.. (Just looked now it’s there clear as day) Apologies for wasting peoples time on that problem. Any more suggestions why the policy isn’t working would be greatly appreciated

yes edeting on 2008 r2 server. or edeting on windows 7 with rsat. and i cant see the policy.

this should be an admx template. as it was generated on 2008 r2 server.

it only has an exclamation mark against the user the initial one is to state there is an exclamation mark on the policy. This is because i have removed any user policy’s to make sure it wasn’t that interfering.

2008 r2 web edition but i would not use 2003 as 2003 only supports 2gb of ram.

i found doing two spearate ones. 1. physical infastructure 2. virtual infastructre helped identify it very well.. good luck.

We did a recommended plan and frankly i just made it up. i found visio with pictures made it very clear.

Anti-spam and antivirus i can recommend pure message. (Sophos) However i do run spamassasin (custom built mail scanner) in front to filter out most of the junk before hitting the exchange box. Depending if you are going to exchange 2007 - 2010 and how much mail i would recommend considering a separate box for spam filtering etc.

i wouldnt go as far down as dl160. use a dl360 g6 if your budget can stretch. i would sugest this running in built virtulisation from windows 2008 r2.

Has anyone successfully got offline files to work with windows 7. Here is my problem. Currently all our (roaming laptops) (windows xp) sync the re directed start menu, desktop and home folder. This works perfectly under xp. Offline folders are disabled in user policy and enabled in the one computer policy for the laptops. So i have just bought some new laptops (windows 7). Dropped them into the same ou as the xp's and offline files don’t work at all. Am i missing something silly?

personaly i would add a new user on the sql level rather than through sims. your support wouldnt be void long as you are only reading data. it gets very complicated once you try and write data back to sims. if you wished to do this you would have to purchase the sims developer license. (in doing this you also get the table structure) however its very expensive.

yes totally possible. night mare to work out the table structure. we have built an application that generates graphs from sims data. but took a very long time to work out the very complicated table structure.

can i suggest a free live cd clonezilla???

Buy Acronis. and do daily differentials and weekly full. can then using acronis universal restore. restore back to any hardware. be the best way forward

use group policy to disable the ability of users configuring wireless.

New shape. 335d is very nice car. obviously less hp but loads more torque.. test drove loads if you do the miles but still want a fast car that is definitly for you. p.s. 335i is also an incredibly bit of kit. in acceleration can easily keep up with me.
