Hi, Is deleting the whole team the only way to remove the video? We've got a video that needs removing asap. Can't believe there isn't a way to quickly delete the videos. Gareth

Humm that's worrying - hoping a localised issue as we've not suffered any issues/slow down since Monday thankfully. No reports as yet of issues today though- fingers crossed/touch wood etc.. Morning Anybody else having issues with Teams video breaking up this morning. Never usually have any issues, so assuming it's just every school doing the same thing as us?

We had the same thing, just cancelled Google Music in the end and switched to Spotify so we can use that on the hubs via voice. Very annoying, liked the google music before they got Youtube involved

Yep same here! Some group doing this? Both MS & Google down on the same day?

Looks like it's back up for us here, closed the browser and reloaded and seems ok. Nothing ever appeared in out admin dashboard saying service issues.

Cheers for the updates, interesting reading. Out of interest with the docks, are the USB-C cable for the laptop replaceable or is it moulded on? We bought the HP G4 docks and the usbc cable is removable so we can use longer ones when needed and when damaged simple cable to replace. They now don't make the g4 anymore and the g5 replacement is moulded in so would be an expensive replacement of the whole dock if cable get damaged- so looking for suitable replacements

Have the laptops got HDMI sockets, could you use a HDMI to VGA dongle so they're plugging that in and less chance of damaging the VGA pins then?

HP Laptops (Probook x360 440 G1) and HP USB-C Docks here. went for the G4 not the G5 as the cable is moulded to the dock so if gets damage it's expensive replacement. G4 you can just get a new USB3.1 cables, means we can get longer ones too for the odd classroom setups. Works great, glad we got the HP warranty though, have had 2 USB-C ports replaced on the laptops due to them wearing out, getting knocked or wearing out and loosing connection. This is probably my main worry going forward how robust the usbc ports are. But we've had the setup for a 18months now and teacher love them.

Just found this, as we're wanting a Youtube Channel and the last couple I had to put I used my GSuite account so has my name on the videos rather than the schools. I right in thinking now then I can't create a School Youtube brand channel at all? I keep getting an error "Invalid Request" when trying to add a channel. What is the alternative, just create a separate school account for a Youtube video? Or am I missing something obvious here! Tried to speak to G-Suite support... and they said try the Fax number Maybe 20 years ago that may have been useful. Sigh

Afternoon, I need to put a 40 odd PDF documents onto the school Wordpress site, they're all organised in separate folders depending on the subject. So awkward manually making a page full of links/buttons, and for maintaining once done as they change. I used a plugin last time for some sort of document library but it's quite long winded process, the 'bulk' process it has didn't work. Anybody have a better way to display a large number of documents on a website? I thought about embedding a public google drive, anybody done this? Is this a free route, or better with a paid plugin. hummm, interesting. We're with AMI older Transact software and looking at upgrading to Infinity this summer to give us Net2/Papercut intergration. Never really had that many issues with Ami/Gladstone support wise. Thanks for the information, will raise it and see what SLT think.

Just tried testing this, have it setup as per the MS website but students can still start the meeting before the start time on their own. Anybody else confirm it working for them? Perhaps with it only being released today the policies haven't filtered to our tenancy yet...

Morning, I've tried searching and going round in circles.. We have all our Teams populate automatically from SIMS via RM Unify. However, the school now needs to flatten the timetable and create custom lessons. Basically combining multiple classes into 1 so the teacher can teach 90 kids in one go. These can't go into SIMS (so I've been told) so need to do this via powershell. So, they've given me all the students and the new classes. I can use this to create groups & populate in 0365 easily enough. But converting into a Team with Class template so they get assignments etc is confusing me. Does the powershell to create a Team from existing o365 group exist? I can load the client and create a class manually that way but with 30+ of these classes I'd rather script... I'm sure the answer is out there, I'm probably just asking the wrong way! Appreciate any help! thanks in advance

When we first setup O365 we set it up so Exchange/Teams/Stream was disabled via powershell as we were moving more towards google and just needed students to use the Sharepoint site. Now, change of SLT and a pandemic we're now using Teams, which I've managed to get running. However, I can't get the Stream licence active for the students. Can anybody help with the powershell. We used this to disable the licence for the students. I suppose so, perhaps I've misread and being overly harsh. Just seemed as a pay up or we'll not help and it surprised me when companies are providing free services to help, banks allowing mortgages to be delayed etc... just seemed a different stance to take.

Anybody else get the email from Smoothwall asking to make sure we're up to date have have paid our bills in the event of a school closure?
