  1. Yep - the virtual queues are set as hold and release and then in the Job Redirection section, the relevant physical MFDs are ticked. Papercut shows Pending print jobs with the emailed jobs in the correct virtual queue - If i go to manually release then from the pending job - it shows the correct physical printer it is allowed to be release to. Interestingly - as I was typing this I thought I would add the virtual queue to my PC to test and it is doing the same thing I've even copied the settings from an existing virtual queue which prints to all printers and it is still not printing/showing. Might remove them - reboot and start again just incase I've missed something.
  2. So I have setup virtual print queues for KS3, KS4 & KS5 along with Email to Print - so students can email work directly to papercut and then release their work from their allocated printers/MFDs. I can send jobs to the relevant email address for each KS group and it hits the correct print queue and sits there waiting for release. When I go to the MFD and login to release the job - it doesn't appear. If I run a Print Release Station - it can see all the jobs and release them to the correct printers. - so why are they not showing on the MFD when I log in?? Anyone any clues?? Cheers.
  3. Cheers guys Didn’t realise they could point to the same null port.
  4. I used 64it when I updated everything this Sept - works well and no reported issues. Only issue I have was that I forgot to update the shortcuts on the redirected start menus
  5. I need to add 2 additional Virtual Queues to papercut - what ports would people recommend using? Already have LPT1, LPT2 & LPT3 taken with existing virtual Print queues. Cheers
  6. Which model NAS do you have and what size discs do you have - also what size are your typical backups?
  7. Ah that makes sense.... will let RRAS dish out the IP Addresses then.
  8. No - unfortunately - but I think that is becuase I didn't change how papercut asks staff - need to stop it using the Papercut client as a prompt. Will be able to test properly over half term but from student point of view it works really well as they don't use shared accounts.
  9. All sorted :-) thanks for the info and help.
  10. Numpty question as it is early..... Planning on installing this either today or next week - and will stick AOVPN clients on their own VLAN... so my question is, do I put then on a VLAN direct on the LAN with Windows DHCP or on a VLAN held on Smoothwall with Smoothwall handing our DCHP (Similar to BYOD) to keep them separate and where I can control ports etc? Or does it not matter? Using Windows NPS to dynamically assign VLAN for BYOD devices
  11. To save me time looking, can you share how you got the right prompt to allow camera/mic Cheers
  12. That basically what I did - I also set up a SNAT rule do my 3CX has a dedicated IP for incoming and outgoing traffic.
  13. I also don't have any SIP settings configured on smoothwall at all - I just installed server, added IP, Rules etc
  14. I meant IPS - not IDS (didnt have access to smoothwall when I posted the message and as they almost the same letters I got the wrong ones......) I have port forward rules configured for just 3CX ports and changed the IPS settings on that rule. - Network -> Port Forwarding
  15. Have you got IDS enabled on the external IP address used for your 3CX? I found that caused issues and after disabling it I’ve had no issues.
  16. Got all the permission set to read only - I’m thinking of an easy way of users accessing the site. I could only get to appear all the time for my test user once i clicked on follow site.
  17. In the process of setting up a SharePoint site for help guides all users. I can invite people to join the SharePoint site, but is there an easier way I can add everyone and make it visible to them by default without them having to do anything? Cheers
  18. SCCT MSI build - is that the same as the Setup.exe and the XML config file settings?
  19. Our LAN uses Port 4 (ethD) and our External Connection uses Port 6 (ethF) I'm running LibreNMS to monitor bandwidth on port 6 (ethF) and also running the bandwidth graphs via the smoothwall interface on ethF and the figures/graphs do not match in anyway shape or form. On our 300mb connections - smoothwall bandwidth monitor on port 6 (ethF) shows figures/graph within the 300mb limit. On LibreNMS however, when I monitor the same port shows a totally higher bandwidth Any use LibreNMS to monitor bandwidth across their network including their Smoothwall box? Cheers
  20. How does activation work on shared devices? Is it just a case of setting GPO to automatically sign them in? Cheers
  21. Thanks for all the replies. Will have a play at installing Office 365 version on a test pc and I seem to remember some issues about shared device activations..... or was that possibly something else I’m thinking of??? Maths department will be happy if I can get this done and will go a long way towards integrating things for when we move towards sharepoint.
  22. Being pushed to install Office 365 apps on computers instead of our current version of Office 2016 as staff experiencing some issues when editing documents on SharePoint etc. Do Capita now support Office 365 apps or is just the Office 2016/2019 versions? Cheers
  23. I copied Bginfo and associated files to a folder under the program files directory as part of the image process. Logon script runs from there and applocker allows it as it from the program files folder. Touch wood been stable - but only been using it this way since the start of sept.
  24. SharePoint....... I'm setting up some test sites including one for holding IT support guides and I am struggling to workout how to ensure things are locked down correctly to stop unwanted access and to ensure only the relevant people/group have access to either the site(s) or sections of the site(s) Can anyone recommend a company that provides help and advice on SharePoint or any useful online guides. Cheers Mark
  25. Sorted it - had diferent drivers installed on the virtual queue and physical printer. Once I set the virtual queue to the same driver as the physical printer it prints fine - just means may have to have a number of virtual queues.
