just a guess, but have you tried: Right click taskbar, and go to properties Start Menu tab, and customise final option is "Use large Icons"

@Networkgeezer actually it is the harddrive.... you're not talking to a teacher now, and I didn't say encrypted, I said passworded Mr Perdantic! Having played with the HD (not base unit), it's the hard drive. Not the BIOS settings, but the whole HD I've removed the offending article (harddrive) and put it in another computer (base unit), and the harddrive still comes up as password protected!

I do all of the above. For immediate stopping of internet (say for 1 lesson) lanviewer or RPKiller and to ban kids I have a move them to an OU with a null proxy

you can get some Sony laptops for under £500 with Core Duo, and the incredible x-black screens. I have bought about 15 of these for staff, and they all love them!

if you're copying your own DVD then Nero does a good job. A lot of the other software mentioned here removes the DRM, which is illegal (copyright infringement), but you won't have any DRM since you made it yourself........

We've had previous threads about topics of dubious nature. I believe this is one of them. Callum, if you want to learn how to rip DVD's, this is not the place to be asking. This is a professional forum, dealing with education, not hacker school.

@Pottsey I haven't noticed any problems with dreamscene per say, but Vista crashed all the time for various reasons!

I'm using Vista Dreamscene, so there is no point in posting a static image, as my desktop is a moving image!

I have a Dell, which died the other day (mup.sys), all I have to do to recover the HD (a western digital) is run chkdsk /r from the recovery console...... except....... One of the little "baby hens" has passworded the hard drive. Don't know who, don't know the password! Does anyone know how to reset the password, and how the little clucker did it in the 1st place?
