I have sent Steve a PM. My position is this - I have raised issues and an engineer from another company has responded. Twice I have had replacement parts arrive without contact followed shortly, again twice, by an engineer to fit the parts. I have now arranged for this engineer to resolve the issues he can and report back on the others at the next date the room is available - the 18th December. I could mention more specific problems and promises made but, for now, I'm waiting on somebody resolving the problems we have.

Last minute? I haven't started yet!!! ARGH! iPoods all round then!

LOL - this is an old thread to revive, I know! I've actually moved though! Since June I've had another house fall through and now, finally, I've moved back out of my parents into a new house with new broadband - connected the first day and averaging 12-15Mbps... Uploads are at a steady 760kbps

I feel that you do not have the right to go looking through a flash drive because you've found it. I wouldn't even put it near a network computer because it could contain all sorts of nasties designed to do damage to the network. Pupils personal areas of the network should be monitored and the pupils understand that this is done. The flash drive is personal property though, if they're not allowed in school then treat it like anything else that isn't allowed. If they are then it should be assumed that the contents are school related. Would you go through a mobile phone reading the text messages?
