I don't have a problem driving. Everyone says I don't need more lessons and I feel fine - I drive like I ride and assume that I'm about to be killed at any given moment! I have a problem with taking the test - a horrible feeling grips me and I convince myself I will fail so I don't bother!

Haven't got the guts to take mine... Love riding a motorbike and living in a city where traffic barely moves I can't see the point... well that's my excuse! Passed the theory a couple of months ago but can't bare the idea of failing - even once... Good luck!

I vote projector. Got an Optoma HD65 last night and the image at 100" is beautiful... I killed so many people on CoD4

Battery runs out and they forget who they are! Don't everyone's?

How do you keep them charged or force them to turn off? I'm looking for a solution to either stop teachers leaving the PDAs with everything running (wifi etc) so the battery dies quickly or something to shut them down so they are actually off. We are forever reconnecting PDAs to the wireless network!

Yes. This is a course that runs after school and they bring in the floppy discs - I have both the online and offline installed and they need both - also, this guy will not be reasoned with. Not on these - I'll have another look today.

Can I remove A: on boot and then it should assign the correct letter?

Can't be - clean install! I've just tried with USBDLM and it can't force A: - the drive is still assigned B: Any other suggestions?

There actually isn't a FDD connected - the motherboard seems to be telling Windows there is even with it disabled :crying: I would love to make it virtual but it's often an actual disc that this outside group bring in... don't know why I go out of my way to do things like this... I will investigate the suggestion above - thanks

Really struggling with this (constant interruptions) Have a USB floppy drive that's used for OFFLINE OCR exams - this software needs the drive to be assigned A: to work - even turning off the FDC in the BIOS still makes the drive B: (or worse) I've hunted around for a script to force the reassignment of the drive to A: but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help?

I've searched the previous threads on this and nothing seems to apply. In the offices I work everyone likes a different radio station and they used to stream them from the BBC radio website. This did work fine but now it's stopped and I can't find any way to get it working again for the staff domain users. If I log on there are no problems. These computers are on a different IP range and have an open connection to the LEA for finance work on a remote machine - no proxy. The radio window loads up and sits on 'Connecting...' - this is using Real Player and WMP. Is there anything I've missed? What about a standalone radio streaming program? Thanks!

Extreme minority views are the ones that are affecting children's education right now. You've choosen an interpretation that allows for a creator and requires evolution - that is not a threat to science. I don't agree with it but it isn't a threat. Creationism directly opposes science. It is anti-science and there are already children in classrooms today learning to distrust science because a few people have held onto the idea that the Earth is only a few thousand years old. There being the possibility that science is incorrect is not a reason to teach something which goes against almost every peice of evidence explaining how life on this planet came to be. Where would we draw the line if not at peer-reviewed, substanciated testing and evidence? Science should be left to teach scientific theories based on the best knowledge of the time - what else can it do? I think you're just playing devil's advocate mark- you understand that evolution is as close to fact as is possible to demonstrate and you embrace it as a fact. Would you support any other creation theories being taught in the science classroom? What about alternative maths? I understand the need to be careful - you can't have teachers trampling over religious belief or you'll distance some children from education completely... On the flip-side you can't have anything and everything given equal time or importance, god or whatever, these are not scientific. (I REALLY didn't want to start a new 'Scientology'. Really!)

Mine is one that my Dad has a copy of, the 'Vinegar' bible- rescued from a skip! Of course. My point wasn't how proud he was! My point was that these children have been given very little information with which to fight their teachers regarding the facts and so any confrontation is easy to resolve in the classroom. Teachers are the target of this- they love their subject and other people are attempting to demonstrate that science is flawed. In the US (and I'm sure here) children attend summer schools and are 'trained' to chalenge scientists. We must also remember that this isn't Christianity vs Evolution - teaching Creationism is anti-scientific and you are likely to offend many other religions if you give it time in the science classroom. The supporting evidence is not thin. The supporting evidence is massive. The supporting evidence touches on many other areas of science, physics, astronomy, genetics, chemistry... to suggest that science has a little evidence that points towards evolution but that no one is really sure is a lie. We are able to trace and now even alter DIGITAL code within all life... no data goes against a single family tree. If you expose the elements on early Earth to radiation you get amino acids - the building blocks of the DNA code within us all. We are able to observe planets that are millions of light years away and getting further - the simplistic solution that a god created the world a few generations ago is fine if you have a very simple understanding of the world - we don't. I really don't understand why anyone would want to cling on to such an unsatisfying world-view. Schools that say that there are two equal theories (the scientific and the biblical) are not only avoiding the science behind why people have concluded that we evolved they are also missing exactly what science is. The Church Of The Flying Spaghetti Monster was created for this very reason - if a subject having a scientific basis is no longer required in the classroom then the FSM is as valid a theory as any other - but everyone understands that the FSM is just a parody (or insult) - the point it is making is very important.
