I interested has Ruckus fallen out of love with edugeekers due to budgets cuts. If I was using Unifi I would get the cloud key as it then nicely packaged controller. But this might be a limiting factor https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/217549368-UniFi-How-many-APs-can-the-Cloud-Key-handle- just don't run it on pfsense it a nightmare to keep updated.

I am looking to get 3 replacement laptop screens but I want to get them from normal suppliers not ebay any suggestions. I am aiming not to spend a fortune who can I use from the edugeek suppliers? These are for 450 g1 and some other HPs.

I think I got that sorted now but every time I log on I get activdriver 32bit trying to install and then crashing out how can I remove this from machines?

I just tried my start menu but it did open under the mandatory profile.

Sccm was setup when I got here I got active driver deploying and I can't work out where from. Any tips on working out where it is coming from?

Mikrotek is an option I been looking at it also what Schools Broadband use.

How do you get people to use it without classic shell?

Pfsense is great but i am looking for a low power cost effective box that will take power outages as well as the HP switch or possibly replace it. I will also be using the unifi cloud key to replace the wireless controller that is installed on PFsense.

How hard did you find it to setup? Have you setup the vpn? Can it do radius?

I want to replace a pfsense/unifi box that is running on a pc with some standard kit. I am looking at either MikroTik RouterBOARD RB2011iL-RM or an unifi edge router as the gateway. I am then going to get a cloud key to run the wifi controller. I might get a raspberry pi to run a radius server on unless I can do that in the router. Does anyone have other suggestions to use as or comments on the routers?

Hi can any one tell me the powershell command to to create a dynamic distribution group in office 365 that looks for a sting of texted contained in the department field. I can't seem to get the like comment to work. I want to be able to put "yr1 yr2" in the department field then put that person into two groups.

It also seem that file permission seem to upset this issue as well. If the share are setup other than ideally the document redirection seems to throw a wallaby.

Can I create a second hyper v management network? So I have two one through for core and second through another switch? Current the management network goes through the core switch so if the switch goes down the cluster loses connection.

I think it can be hard not being on a power machine also it easy to end up in the wrong place as you don't just have power on tap. Also with the way drivers treat cycles they are not necessarily taking their road space they are entitled to.

Thing is I have new machines but I only had a windows 7 32bit image so I was not going to spend time building a 64bit image if it time to move on soon. I had machines only using 2.5GB of their 8GB of RAM. PAE does not seem to work on some machines which is a pain now.

Hi Thanks for you quick reply. Would be great if that could be added an official request for consideration. As I could see this beneficial in a number of schools use cases. Either with all through school or large schools where the want to split up handling of alerts.

Does this version have the ability to send alerts to different staff based on the profile membership?

For on roll students I want to know if it would be possible to export all primary contacts out of sims and year groups that their children are in. Then I would like this to then reference the oldest child's name. So I end up with Oldest child's name: email of p1: year1 year4 year10

So you mean you captured the image and then deployed it. This is how I did my images I used MDT for capture and SCCM to deploy the images. Well I did MDT with the copy profile and then captured and deployed this image with SCCM.

We are using a Sophos UTM provided as a service so no hardware cost up front. So far I am pleased with the unit but did have a few issue with false positives on the web filtering. I have also put Google and Youtube safe searches in place with DNS but have yet to work out how staff can get round this to give better access to educational videos.

I have had some user reporting freezing of the menu I was thinking it was me I am using classic shell. A couple of staff have complained about the machines yet other have been fine.

The answer is that the installer had not ticked the existing doors just the new one in the configuration utility. In the end I phoned Paxton support and they were excellent.

Door appearing offline in the net2 software but the configuration applicaiton can ping them. Any suggestions?
