Hi Nick, I am still having this problem. Do you have any further suggestions as to what may be causing it? Thanks
-
The page isn't being refreshed unless its happening in the background somehow. The file upload fails straight away. Is there anything else I can do to further narrow it down? Thanks
-
Hi Nick, I get the following when doing the debugging when the upload fails: {"Actions":0,"Contents":null,"DateAccessed":null,"DateCreated":null,"DateModified":null,"Extension":null,"Icon":"..\/images\/icons\/folder.png","Location":"A\\","Name":"My Documents","Permissions":{"AppendData":true,"CreateDirs":true,"CreateFiles":true,"Delete":true,"DeleteSubDirsOrFiles":true,"Execute":true,"FullControl":true,"ListDirs":true,"Modify":true,"ReadAttr":true,"ReadData":true,"ReadExAttr":true,"ReadExecute":true,"Traverse":true,"Write":true,"WriteAttr":true,"WriteData":true,"WriteExAttr":true},"Size":null,"Type":"File Folder"} and also: {"Actions":0,"Contents":null,"DateAccessed":null,"DateCreated":null,"DateModified":null,"Extension":null,"Icon":null,"Location":null,"Name":null,"Permissions":null,"Size":null,"Type":null} Thanks

Thanks for clarifying Nick. I had read some guides from other schools and found different things but they may be using older versions.

Yes, the problem is occurring on and offsite. Thanks

Hello, I am just putting some instructions together for our students to follow when using HAP and wondered if anyone could tell me the official system requirements such as OS and browser support. Alls I can find is that it works with any web browser and Microsoft silverlight is required for drag and drop/uploading. Thanks

Even though I disabled the proxy settings and uploads below 30MB work? Thanks
-
Could the server specification be causing the issue at all? I have it set up as a VM with 4 GB memory and 1 virtual CPU. What are the recommended spec's? Thanks
-
Checked the web.config file and it does appear to be set to 2GB roughly. I don't think it goes through a reverse proxy but would need to check with our ISP. As a test I disabled the proxy settings in the browser and tried a 30 MB upload which failed. I checked the event logs on the server and found the following error: An error occurred in Home Access Plus+ Page: HAP.Web.API.MyPic Creating Directory Search and Searching for then current user Using filter: (&(objectClass=user) (sAMAccountName=user)) Found 1 results, processing 1st result Found 0 thumnbnailPhotos However, this only seems to occur when a user has logged on and not when the file fails to upload. Possibly related or a red herring? Thanks

Hi Nick, Any ideas what might be causing this? This could be a big limitation for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
-
Hi guys, Thanks for your replies and advise. Our ISP has now setup the URL and we can access HAP externally Thanks
-
To set up the forwarders is that something I need to do or would this be for our ISP?
-
I'm not sure. Our provider said "Please note that Internet DNS cannot point to a folder on that domain, such as hap.domain.com/hap". This is my first time setting up a web server so I am new to this. Are they incorrect and have I setup hap correctly?
-
Hello, I have setup HAP successfully internally but I am now in the process of setting up HAP to be available on the Internet. I have contacted our DNS hosting provider and they have asked me for the URL and said it can only be in the form of hap.domain.com and not hap.domain.com/hap. The problem I have is that internally I can only access HAP via hap.domain.com/hap. If I go to hap.domain.com it takes me to the IIS page. I think I have missed a step here but am not sure how to set it up so that hap is available via hap.domain.com. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is there a file size upload limit? Is there anything I can check in order to troubleshoot the problem? Thanks

Hello, Thanks for your replies and advise everyone. We have since decided that the costs are too high to expand RD web access this year. Alls that we need is a way of students accessing their files between home and school and I have been looking at an alternative solution called Home Access Plus which some of you may have heard of. This looks great and we are hopefully going to be implementing this in September Thanks -
Hello, I am having a problem with our new installation of HAP v10. When testing uploading of documents I have noticed that documents above the size of 30 MB fail to upload. Anything less than 30 MB is fine. See attached error: Has anyone seen this before? I have read up and checked the webconfig file and the file upload limit is set to 2 GB as far as I can see. Thanks

Hello, Just a query. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the Google Doc's option on the right click context menu and even amend this to say One drive? Thanks
-
Hi Nick, Thanks for clarifying that and sorry again for the delay in reply. I have been looking at HAP again today and I am coming up against some problems during the initial setup. I have filled out the fields in each section I want to use but when I click save I am receiving errors (below). I am not sure what these mean, do you you have any ideas? Also is there any guides for the initial setup? Cheers

Thanks for your help guys and the tip about updates is useful

I have found that it only runs the first time too. I have found a way of disabling the video, by deleting the video itself located in c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Research\Kodu Game Lab\Content\Video. Kodu then starts up successfully without the startup video. Thanks
-
Hello, We have Kodu Game Lab 1.3.5.0 installed in one of our IT Suites running Windows 7 64-bit. I have been asked if it is possible to disable the startup video as this wastes time during the lesson. Does anybody know a way of doing this? Thanks
-
Ah yes, totally forgot to do that the second time around! Thanks.

Hi Nick, Sorry for the delay in replying. I haven't had much time on it over the last couple of days. I have re-installed HAP following your PDF instructions and setup the SSL certificate (by the way the SSL certificate isn't mentioned in the server 2012 video). The page now loads however not quite correctly: Do you know why this could be? I noticed one difference between the server 2012 video and the PDF instructions which I was hoping you could clarify. For the App_data folder in the server 2012 video you give the HAP principle modify rights whereas in the PDF you give it read/write. Thanks

Hi Duke, Thanks for your reply. The RDS session host will be used only for Office apps so nothing particularly resource demanding. 50-70 users sounds much better. What sort of spec would you recommend for this number of users and would you have these as virtual or physical servers? I am looking to provision for about 300 students now, however the likeliness of them all being logged on at the same time is low so I am unsure of whether I need to provide for this capacity or not. Thanks
