Hi All, I don't have anything sync'd or federated with Office365. What I'd like to do is have 'Staff Documents' or 'SEN Documents' (which are separate libraries with different levels of access) to be available to a user as easily as a mapped drive would be. OK, not quite where I started but I have achieved what I wanted to: User fills in form, SLT member receives email with automatic link to the form and the creator is copied in. *I created a new list in an existing Sharepoint site that all staff have access to. *List is NOT in navigation so I have created two links in a folder in the Sharepoint document library that staff use. One titled 'Create New Report' and links to the form to create a list item. The second one is called 'View previous reports' which links to the list. Permissions below allow only the creator and the appointed member of SLT to see all items. *Set list permissions so that users can only read what they've created. *Create new permission level for that site called 'View All List Items' - checked the permission to override list behaviours (Source - https://blog.portiva.nl/2018/08/28/how-to-properly-make-use-of-item-level-permissions-in-sharepoint/ ) With the list created I wanted to alert SLT to new items created. I used Flow to do this. *From inside the list, click Flows > Create Flow > Send a customised email when a new item is created. Creating the flow itself is straightforward adding in fields you want to include in the message. *Once that's tested and working I wanted to create an alert for reports that are modified. I've tried changing tack and made a sharepoint list with all the same fields as the Form, which would kind of do the same thing and alert people to new items, but I can't set the list permissions to create but not read. the two are linked automatically which is frustrating. Or the other method I looked at was to assign item level permissions so that users can only see what they create, but I couldn't work out how to get a 'super user' to be able to view everything.

Hi All, I'm trying to create a form that is submitted and sent to an assigned person to review and approved. If it's approved I want it to be added as a record or list or document on a sharepoint site. If it's not approved I want it to send an email to the requester with the reason as the body of the email. I thought that I was making a decent start. It sends an email to approve but when it's approved, no list item is made. If anyone can help, I'd be grateful. If I'm going about it in completely the wrong way, that's fine too - suggestions welcome! Thanks,

Hi All, We go round to a few schools and have been trying to come up with a fairly universal and hassle free way of building Windows 10 PCs, with minimal tweaking required between sites. What we were doing until a couple of weeks ago: USB Sticks with Win 10 1803 created using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool Add ei.cfg to force education edition Add pid.txt from specific sites to activate on installation Install from USB Rename and add to domain Push all software with PDQ Deploy on local site servers A couple of weeks ago I wanted to set about making it more automated so set about creating autounattend.xml and unattend.xml answerfiles and using the iso from VLSC rather than the encrypted esd from Win 10 Media Creation Tool. After quite a bit of faffing and following guides I've got something together but have the following downsides versus the above: *Still asks for language (only US available - on the above it defaults straight to UK for everything) and locale. I thought I'd configured the answerfile correctly but clearly not! I've posted it below. *Onedrive won't load properly. Windows sees it as being installed and a OneDrive folder is there but can't get the client to load in order to log in. *Cortana sounds american despite selecting UK locale. *Searching on start menu sometimes doesn't work Any pointers of posting of your own answerfiles to compare would be appreciated!! Hi All, All parents have one email address and are picked up by Talk to Parents without any problems. We have setup SIMS Parent Lite and it is only picking up emails for those marked as primary. How can I mark everyone's first email as Primary? Thanks,

Guided Access isn't in restrictions, its in Accessibility. How do you block access to settings entirely?

I've just had this problem with students setting guided access passcodes. Using either MDM or Configurator 2 and enabling single app mode and then disabling single app mode releases guided access.

The issue I'm having with things like this is that there are an awful lots of things that *could* be classified as personal data that aren't names and addresses. Surely initials, if they are unique, could be used to identify a person. The school in question is predominantly white middle-class but with a couple of eastern european students with surnames beginning in Z and X, which nobody else has. I'm equally aware that stopping things like this seems mad and hyper-sensitive to the minutiae of the rules. Striking a balance is what I'm finding tricky. Thanks,

The benefit to the english curriculum really isn't my area. Just looking at this from a data protection POV. Safeguarding and Curriculum aspects need to be thought about by the relevant people and will be in due course I'm sure.
