Sounds like a codec issue, check you do not have more than one "all rounder" codec installed and then you remove codecs and re-sintall up to date versions - also a change the screensaver to a different one might help?

This is a common issue with LCD projectors. Usually you can resolve the issue by going into the LCD panel adjustment menu option and playing with the red, green and blue panel values until they align to remove the white lines

I'm assuming this flash game is browser based and does not have it's own console. Are you using the same version of browser on each computer?

Hardware firewall on a good router should help. However the best bet is to get a good AV package with it's own Firewall (like Kaspersky). That will cover you for most nasties!
