I just fired off a tweet to Jake Humphrey, Lee McKenzie and Martin Brundle suggesting they ask the drivers what they think of the move. Most drivers enjoy driving for the entertainment of the fans (as well as the huge wads of cash they get). I think this decision is possibly the worst decision made in history. F1 will lose a boat load of fans because of this. I just wonder if the likes of Bernie Ecclestone care or whether he's just in it for the money because he's always said that he tries to get the best deals for the fans and drivers.

Okay people here's the situation. We've just recently started exploring the usage of Clonezilla (server edition) to image our machines. We have that set up and it images just fine to a local directory on the Clonezilla server. What I'd like to do is mount a share on our QNAP NAS box to the directory of /clonezilla on the Clonezilla server. The QNAP box with the share on has the filesystem of EXT4. SO assuming that the QNAP box is called qnap and the share is called ADMIN, with the filesystem being EXT4 So this is the command I have issued: sudo mount -t (not sure of filesystem, have tried a few different ones) //qnap/ADMIN All I get is, "Special device //qnap/ADMIN does not exist". So what am I doing wrong? BTW I'm a bit of a Linux n00b, I've dabbled but am by no means experienced. Any help given would be appreciated.

Hi Guys, apologies for bumping the thread but this was recently mentioned to use by a NM at another school we've recently had contact with. After reading through this thread and noticing that you can get it cheap by being an SSAT (which we are...yey) I think it's definitely something we will look at buying into. What are the pros and cons of it all? PS I liked neph's idea of staff having to do the Digital Literacy Cert before being allowed a laptop. Having a minimum skill level before being given a laptop is something I've wanted in place for a while.

As many have said, free food contains no calories. It's like when you get a biscuit tin, if you pick the broken biscuits then that's okay when you're on a diet as the calories have all fallen out.

I think that maybe depends on the model of the board but usually yes. What's probably wrong is that the driver for the board has already been picked up as a Human Interface Device. Open up device manager and update the driver to the one off tthe installation disc and everything should be fine after that.

I was just about to mention AMD's Fusion APUs but @jamesfed beat me to it. Anyhow, if you get the A series(?) you can buy an ATI graphics card and enable crossfire between the APU and the GPU on the card. Even cheap cards gain a massive improvement. Plus the Fusion APUs are quite cheap.

Agree with the love for Road Rash. There's something oddly therapeutic about smashing other bikers with metal bars and chains etc... I've recently started my world domination phase with RISK 2. There's something satisfying about lashing Napoleon and Wellington all over the place. I even took a photo as a record of how cruel I could be to my opponent (I'd demolished everyone, left them with only 1 terrirtory, built up my forces around them and then when I got bored I finished them off) I also love to occasionally have a crack on Star Trek TNG: A Final Unity and Also on Bridge Commander (the one where you're the captain and you get to boss people about and have a few intergalactic scraps) On a side note, the other day while raking in the loft for stuff to take to a car boot sale, my mother asked if they could take my SNES and super scope...my response was, "Are you crazy woman!?!?!". Gonna have to sort things out and get it set up again.

Depends what type of gaming but your first must have, should be dedicated graphics. Having dedicated graphics, takes a load of work away from the CPU so that you have more processing power to process all of the in game data. Try looking at Save On Laptops. Their £400 laptop is excellent value. If your looking to play something a bit higher end though, you'd be better off paying more.

If I remember correctly, I think I got the Season 1-5 Box set of House for £40 (might have been £50). May have been from Play.com. ...Oh, the days when I could/would impulsively buy things.

The only issue I have with my PS3 is older games. You get a cheap game off eBay or second hand in a shop etc... and then when you get home there's like 1.5GB of updates top download. I don't mind though because once everything is up to date then you generally don't have to download many updates for a whiole. When you do download, they're usually quite small.

@LosOjos, I do still have AVG on it, but like I said I'm not so sure it's really doing anything worthwhile.

I use AVG but don't really find all that much of a benefit to it, especially seeing as I now know that even if I muck up a ROM flash I can still just install Titanium Backup and restore everything.

Short of getting the connectors and fabricating your own faceplate the way you want it then no.

Would you expect some apps to install to phone no matter what ROM and partitioning scheme you use, like Adobe Flashplayer, Maps and a few others? If I'm reading the information right, then the applications are using 39mb of internal storage, leaving 109mb free...does that sound right?
