Apologies, I was talking guff about having the splitter built-in. What you could do is use the projector to split your VGA signal and send it back to the face plate on the wall, so one VGA connection on the faceplate would be a computer in (to the projector) and one would be computer out (to the monitor). You would use something like this and obviously the correct cables to connect everything up. As for audio, you could wire the audio inputs on the faceplate to go to your speakers and then using an aplifier like this one here, take the inputs from your computer and dvd player (we have the odd one in a classroom, don't ask) and plug them into the amp, then output to the faceplate and Bob's your uncle.

I've always preferred powered splitters that are built into the face plate. Why? Because it generally looks neater.

Well, after using LeeDrOiD V3.0.7 Bravo GB for most of last night and some of this morning, I have to say that I'm fairly pleased with it. Fair bit more space free on phone (100mb+) and everything is running smoothly. There's it also ships with Titanium Backup, so a backup has been performed. I'm still not sure what the Ext3 partition on my SD card is for though? Something to do with A2SD+ but I don't understand. Lol. Contemplating Cyanogen, so that I can have proxy support. What else could I expect from Cyanogen?

Victory is mine. Just set all my apps up again and the layout the way I want everything. I think I may well get addicted to changing ROMs.

Wooo, victory may have been snatched from the jaws of defeat. Reapplied the sd-ext alignment patch, performed a full wipe and formatted the sd-ext, rebooted and now I havewhat appears to be the LeeDROID startup screen.

Got ambitious after much success. Rooting went fine. So did the applying the radio update and the alignment update apparently required for part of the LeeDROID installation (not quite sure but hey). Then I thought, "Let's do this mutha...!!" ...now my phone is seemingly stuck on the pink circle, which on the LeeDROID installation info say that first boot could take a while. Time for sad face?

Sorted the HTC Sync problem and TBH it's absolute tripe. Syncs contacts with Outlook Express, so I've gone for the backup to SD and then stick another SD card in so that everything is super-dooper safe. Going to ROOT using the Unrevoked method. Update will follow shortly...hopfully.

Right, following on from this thread I decided to install HTC sync on my machine and backup all my contacts etc... so that should anything go wrong, I won't be one of those people on FB posting a message about how I'm an idiot and need everyones contacts again. Unfortunately, HTC sync and my phone don't seem to be talking to each other (yes, I have told the phone to use HTC sync when I plug in the USB cable). So my questions are these: What may I have done wrong? How can I fix it? Will the updating the radio software also update the bluetooth or are they totally separate? I'm pretty much a n00b to flashing smartphones and the like except for when I flashed my Viewty (KU990) to the latest version, which TBH even if I'd bricked it, that would only have improved the darn thing.

You (sir/madam/transgendered individual - please delete as appropriate) are indeed a fountain of knowledge. The LauncherPRO app works brilliantly but the latest version of Sense has proxy support built-in (apparently). I really had no idea that there were other Sense-like applications out there. I know you're gonna say I could install XYZ app and have proxy support but I don't really want to (I just have this thing about wanting to keep things as minimal and simple as possible, same brand etc...)

What else is there that does the same sort of thing?

See, I really like the sense interface and for me that's what makes it better than iPhones and Blackberrys.

We have A/C and it works. The only issues we have, are stolen remotes. Why we didn't have wall mounted thermostat controls I'll never know. Depending on how your A/C is set to work, it can be audible (if you have it on the super speedy cool down setting) or it can be very quiet and barely noticeable. I'd recommend it, providing you can stop the kids from operating it and make sure staff don't leave the thing on all weekend.

It's not that I'm not capable of rotting and putting a new rom on my phone, I just have my phone setup how I want it and don't really fancy having to do it all again. I'd much prefer the updates to occur through a normal system update. Is 2.3 plus the new sense UI worth flashing or might it be worth waiting?

Look out for the dual mass flywheel, they need replace around about 70-80k miles apparently. IIRC the cost is about £800 a time.

I'll be watching it but only because I'm curious as to what's gonna happen. I do think there is way too much t&a. I think that because Spartacus got away with it, most new tv shows seems to be trying it.

I played 5 a side with a few staff from here and some from other schools on Friday. Whew, what a workout. I was so unfit that after the first game I had to sub myself off. It was great fun and although I got done over by a few old duffers will quite happily play again this week, body permitting of course.

To be honest, I think it's a pile of crud. I only watch it for the obvious softcore. I think the storyline is starting to simplify out and you're getting a picture of what is actually going on but the first few episodes, the storyline seemed so convoluted that I didn't have a clue. BTW I also watched Lost and uderstood most of that storyline. Personally I think Camelot is way better. Not convinced by Joseph Fiennes as Merlin (just the look of him, not his acting ability). EDIT: Also a plus one to House and The Walking Dead.

I thought the race (after it was restarted) was fantastic. When Button first went onto inters in the first part of the race, I didn't think it'd be red flagged and suspended for so long. And then going onto inters so quickly after the restart showed that conditions weren't as bad as race direction thought. Still got to admit (grudgingly of course) that race direction did a fantastic job of making sure the drivers were safe by deploying the safety to try and preempt major incidents. Button's drive was fantastic and I nearly exploded when Vettel dropped it on the last lap. Schumacher's race was pretty good too. I think it shows that the Mercedez is good at something, especially in the hands of Schumi. Did anyone else think that having two zones where DRS could be deployed, was a bit wrong? I mean the speed difference on the start/finish straight was enough for DRS to be effective. Yet they had the two zones and that combined with the rule where a defending driver can only make one defensive move, meant that there was no way that Schumacher could ever have defended his position against Webber. All in all though, a good race.

@SkywOrca, epic rep to you my friend. I will ask my uncle next time I see him if I can borrow his phone (totally forgot he had a Desire otherwise I may have already tried it. Lol.) I may well look at changing the ROM on my phone further into my contract. The only thing I don't like, is that I have my phone setup just the way I want it and don't fancy having to do it again. Will post and updates later.

If it kicks over and sounds like it's going to start but then won't, does it have an immobiliser? My mam's previous Mini (classic, not the modern fake tripe) had a secret switch that turn on/off the immobiliser. When the immobiliser was on, the car would turn over and sound like it's about to start but never would.

In my experience, clean doesn't mean that it's fixed. I've often found that virii (plural for virus?) often change registry entries and delete files etc..which cannot merely be changed back using system restore. The best option, if a virus has totally borked your OS install, is to reinstall.

Ah, after reading another thead on here it appears I was mistaken and that the proxy support is in the latest version of the HTC Sense interface. That would explain why the Nexus One doesn't have it. My bad!!

Apparently (I cannot verify due to T-Mobile not having released 2.3 for the Desire) when you go into your Wifi settings, you can press the menu button then select advanced and it should be in there.
