I often lie. It makes me sound more interesting. I once had a lass believing I was a horse trainer/farrier in the army, although she was hammered I did pull off the lie so convincingly that I almost had myself fooled. I only tend to tell people I'm an IT technician if I think they need my help and I can potentially impress them by fixing something, earning brownie points in the process....until I find out they already have a boyfriend. Lol.

Between Core Duo and Core 2 Duo, there's not a huge difference but I think if you move to Core I3, I5 or I7 then there's a more noticable difference. I always check processor scores on cpubenchmark.net when looking at laptops. For my next personal laptop purchase I'm looking at a minimum Core I3 processor. This should safely see me future-proofed until the laptop purchase after that.

Agreed, I didn't think of a typo. In that case, getting down to 146.5lbs is excellent. Well done mate.
-
Are you sure your measurements are correct? I weighed in at 212lbs on my scales and I've just done a conversion online which came in at 15.8st / 96.2kg, which I know to fairly spot on.

According to EpGuides.com The Event will start up again on March the 7th in the US. So I'll be watching it March the 8th over here. The latest Fringe eps have been quite good. Although nothing can seem to beat the first season.

I shall point you all to Watch Series. It has bucket loads of links to TV shows and gets episodes from american the next day.

You could always configure them a local logon, which then means their crud isn't sync'd onto the server.

I'd boot up using Super FDISK and erase the MBR. Require minimum technical skills and works nearly all of the time for issues like that.

It's good to hear that Kubica isn't totally up the creek but I'd imagine his F1 career is. Unlike a lot of other motorsports, you need excellent sensitivity and control from your hand which I think Kubica will no longer have. If I were Renault, I'd give Senna a bash at it. I think last season was hard on him due to HRT having an absolutely awful car that never seemed to get any better. Chandhok was actually one of my favourite drivers last season, an honest good guy and I'd love to see him back in a race seat.

Recommend a camera for a budding hobbyist photographer?

@Busybub I didn't realize there was a site around like MPB Photographic. Been thinking about photography as a hobby and that website seems to make it affordable enough even for me. Have you purchased from them before? -

Some yes. I think the Panasonic FZ series do. -
You sir have excellent taste. I too want a scooby decked out like that.
-
Are there places over here you can get some of this stuff? Al I've tried is an ostrich burger and I liked it, healthy too. Oh, and sushi but these days that's not so weird.
-
That looks awesome though and IMHO should be how all scoobies look. Just like all Kawasaki Ninjas should be bright green.

Just buy replacement nibs. We haven't had to buy many though because our staff don't use whiteboards often. Our MFL dept was going to order half a dozen pens becuase theirs didn't work properly when really it was the power supplies for the whiteboards.

Anyone else read the name as Beetlejuice? -
Didn't that used to be the opinion of SCL boxes, then quality started declining? Have to add though, actual service from Edutec has been very good.

Fancy PM'ing your contact details and I'll pass them on.

If that's the meeting I think it was, our Systems manager was quite impressed with the demo. So much so thathe's lokking into buying it. He also liked the idea of Smoothwall to replace our Securus box.

Good question. If not, then I'd suggest using the firewall to help you clean things up by turning it on and blocking everything except the ports and applications you want to allow through.

I use Facebook all the time to stay in touch with mates I've not got numbers for and to pass the time. Generally I log on, skim through the news feed of what my mates are doing and then maybe play a few hands of poker. Plus if I didn't use it, I'd not have all the gossip. One of my best mates has a FB account and uses it very little and we tend to find he's the one that's most out of the loop because he doesn't log on to FB much...he's also the person with a mobile, that rarely texts back or even has his phone on him. I have all sorts of school friends and people I have accumulated over the years and every now and again I trim the numbers down.

I scored 9,911,025, 233 bounces and 8 accidents. I don't really get how the scores are calculated though.

I just feel a fair bit aggrieved at the whole business. I think the fact that football has become more about money over the last 20 years means that the number of genuinely passionate players is dwindling. I'm a mackem but you only have to look at players like Shearer to realise that money isn't the be all and end all. Joe Average!! 36 goals was it in 60+ games is not average. Average is John Carew, Gabby Agbonlahor etc.. Incidentally, where is Bent gonna go? That's right, Villa!!
-
There is none, or very little at the least. Apparently after the Sunderland and Newcastle match, Darren Bent has handed in a transfer request. I'm absolutely disgusted. It seems that players have no loyalty to teams anymore. Wouldn't be surprised if Henderson jumps ship too. I could maybe understand it if Bent wasn't in the starting lineup or getting games but he is! Maybe he feels he's not good enough to stay, seeing as he's not been banging the goals in as often as he has been? Sky Sports | Sunderland News | Football | Premier League | Bent asks to quit Black Cats If he wants to go, I'd say cash in and get another Asamoah Gyan. He's a right character and he occasionally pops up to save the day byt scoring at crucial moments.

I always thought both Linux and BSD were unix based, so are fairly similar?
