  1. @AyatollahPies: You're right, it kind of is made up. I feel I'd benefit from new experiences and dealing with a different aspect of IT. I've been at my current job since I left school and I can't help but feel there's more out there for me.
  2. That is very true. I kind of would like an iPhone even though I'd rather not really admit it. Just the ease of being able to use it with itunes and not having to worry about where to store my music as it's all taken care of.
  3. Oh, I know you guys wouldn't do that. I asked on here because I knew there would be people with varying experiences of working in Apple Stores. I appreciate every comment here because I have gained a better insight into the whole situation. There is one possible problem to getting a job at an Apple Store...if they want me to prance around with an iPhone instead of my HTC Desire they can go and shove it. I do like the iPhone but I like my HTC much more with it's interface.
  4. Personally honest, I don't think I'd mind the selling aspect all that much. My job at the moment is going nowhere and ss far as I can see it'll continue to do so. I've only ever had this one job. I'm 22 (23 in Feb) and I really think that almost any move away from my current job would be a step forward.
  5. I'm not getting paid a whole lot anyway. Lol. Ii just figured there are a fair few routes of progression. I could move on to a different department within the store or I could train and then move into the corporate side, involved in manufacturing, design etc... I understand the negative points of view but even if it's not that good, it'll still be a bonus on my CV for the job after.
  6. Has anyone here worked at an Apple Store? I visited the one in the MetroCentre in Gateshead last night and I felt I would be better than half the people there (cocky I know but I've always felt like that). Anyway, it got me thinking that there must be jobs going there plus there are bound to be benefits such as staff discounts etc... I realise this may not be the best career move but I think it may provide me with opportunites and experience I'd not get otherwise. The thought of working there excites me, moreso than most things. So, has anybody worked there? Any pointers on knocking up a CV (with examples or directions to a decent website)? As it's years since I last knocked one up. Any other thoughts?
  7. I agree with Fringe. Also would like to add: Heroes Flashforward (Yes, even with it only being 1 series) The Big Bang Theory (any nerds will find this amusing) Lost Ice Road Truckers IRT Deadliest Roads Okay, maybe other people have different tastes but I'd recommend at least giving them a bash.
  8. I'm quite sickened by all of this. I mean despite them being my bitter enemies, I wouldn't wish this on any football club. Mike Ashley needs to go and needs to go this season. If you look at how Sunderland and Newcastle have changed over the years, it's unbelievable. We (Sunderland) have had one of our legends come back to Sunderland with a consortium and buy the club and turn it's fortunes around. Then along came Ellis Short who bought the club from the consortium and seems to be letting People just get on with their jobs. On the reverse they (Newcastle) have had their club sold by Freddy Shepherd to Mike Ashley (a so callled Newcatle fan!!)and he's done nothing but interfere and bring the club own.
  9. My build number is 2.12.110.4 CL264529 and I'm on T-Mobile too, Ive not had any OS updates though.
  10. What was it an update for?
  11. Is there any speed differences or advantages/disadvantages to either USB or MIDI?
  12. @j17sparky The budget card doesn't seem to mention having any MIDI inputs...maybe I missed something?
  13. Does your computer have a valid account in Active Directory?
  14. Yeah, that's what we have. Ours are the X-Fi Xtremegamer cards. Although, they're PCI. The PCI express ones though, don't support ASIO drivers.
  15. We don't use Cubase but we do use other audio packages that suffer from audio latency. We use USB keyboards (that also have midi outputs). Instead of using the midi outputs we use the USB and that way we can get ASIO supporting soundacrds for about £50-£60. The soundcards we used previously were Creative Audigy 2ZS (or something like that) but they're fairly expensive, or at least the current equivalent is.

    Fallout 3

I got Lucas killed, have done a few quests for the Survival Guide, went to sort out Silver for Colin Moriarty and Then I've done a few quests elsewhere like saving Big Town and getting Ian West home. I'm rather liking Fallout 3 though.

    Fallout 3

Oh, I'm not following it religously. I only use it when I haven't got a clue what I'm doing, like when I went and wasted what little money I had on 5mm bullets only to find out that I wouldn't be able to use them until I found a minigun. I think I might disarm the bomb then, seems worth it.

    Fallout 3

I think I'll do the same. I just have no clue about buying a house in game and that. Any tips I should know of? I do have a guide (yes, cheating I know but I'm not that naturally talented at games like this) just not with me.
  19. Funnily enough I thought that too Hightower. I just don't rate Martin Jol all that much and even being a Sunderland fan I would have recommended they stick with Hughton.

    Fallout 3

Having the same game engine as Oblivion, it's soo different. I find it easier in some ways and harder in others. I'm starting to get a feel for items I should sell and ones I shouldn't. Like in the part of the quest where I destroyed the super human behemoth, I picked up a fair few assault rifles, hunting rifles and other stuff and I know that I'll need pretty much all these weapons in future. However, I have picked up the power armour which apparently I can get better armour later, when I actually get another couple of hours into the game and train with the Brotherhood. Is it worth just binning off the armour now, or stashing it somewhere?
  21. Unless it's changed since we last used it then it doesn't.

    Fallout 3

How many people here have wasted hours and hours on it? Last night I got in from work, played on it and then realised it would be a good idea to go to bed. I played on it for only a few hours but it was how easily that I lost track of time on it that shocked me. All I was doing was going to GNR Radio, scouring for weapons and then Blasting the poop outta a super mutant behemoth. Oh yeah, then I started out on the quest to help Three Dog fix his satellite dish. On the bright side, I now have some power armour that I kindly obtained from some dead Brotherhood Of Steel members.
  23. One thing about offline files people, it doesn't sync databases. This has been a pain in the backside occasionally with staff phoning up and saying that XYZ isn't syncing and then we find out that it might be their PST file or a database they have created in Access.
  24. Correct. Personally I found that when I used to install the adminpak and the suptools that it was much less of a hassle on. With RSAT you have many more boxes to tick and some things are a little bit hidden etc...
  25. According to Metroradio, some idiot Geordie reckons they should try and get Guus Hiddink...didn't he turn down the Chelsea job? LMAO. One of the favourites is Martin Jol, with him reportedly ditching Ajax just hours after Hughton was sacked.
