If you're happy with your iPhone -great If you're happy with a Desire - great Personally, I found the iPhone too restrictive after a year or so of usage - and the move to android has given it a lot more 'play' potential, which I love :-) However, its not for everyone - and other than any argument, you have to admit the popularity of the iPhone has kicked the smartphone development business up the butt more than anything else, so we're all winners!
  3. I'd try Localzuk's method if the DFL is 2k3. In most cases raising the domain functional level won't cause any issues - but I can't comment on any legacy systems you might have in place.
  4. Also, are you deploying as a machine policy to a machine OU? or a user policy to a user OU?

  6. Shouldn't be necessary from a 2k8 server - even to a xp client, as long as it has the Group Policy Updates installed

I've found when importing machines its best to remove all the old hardware - as it does sometimes cause it to get in a tizz Log in and start a command prompt enter the following commands: SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1 START DEVMGMT.MSC then View->Show Hidden Devices and remove all the greyed out hardware

  22. Do you mean distributed from that server, or which apply to it? if from: open administrative tools -> Group Policy Management; you'll see you AD structure with an added OU of "Group Policy Objects" if to: open a cmd prompt and type "gpresult /R"

  25. Could you put it on a new VLAN with a Read-Only domain controller on the same? Sorry, not a user of eclipse myself - just an idea for risk-mitigation. Otherwise it sounds like a major nightmare...
