  1. Er, having just checked the licence on a Malwarebytes install, it says: So.....
  2. Is there net access at hogwarts? with external IP's etc? Could you set up a site- site VPN and have the temporary place as a second site on the same domain as the main school for a while?
  3. Same. I had an iPhone for years, I still have a Blackberry for work and the Android phone I have is head and shoulders above them both. And, the most popular systems get the most development and have a longer lifecycle - so it doesn't matter how awesome people think windows phone 7 is if no-one's buying it....
  4. I don't think mine would be worth a 486.......
  5. sneaky.....
  6. Have you looked at their RevoDrive PCI range? The performance is even better, and the price points not outrageous either. OCZ RevoDrive X2 PCI-Express SSD - OCZ We've got a few servers running products that thrive on high storage speeds - these made a huge difference.
  7. From the above article Of course it's still early days - but doesn't appear so :-(
  8. Windows 8 and Its Incredibly Cool New Touch Interface Am I the only one who thinks this'll be horrible in a work/school environment.....
  9. YAY! Touch-base now provides a gesture supporting driver for this...for Macs! definitely gonna get one now - especially with that recycle deal
  10. Honestly mate the best thing I've found is to allocate a minimum and boost as needed. Obviously for some things (email, etc) you'll need more to start with, but for most of our builds now we issue 2xvcpus, 4gb of RAM and work upward. we use VMWare which gives quite detailed specs of what the machines actually using - I'm sure HyperV can do something similar. -However, if you did wanna monitor the servers usage, maybe the server performance advisor could help? Download details: Microsoft ® Windows Server
  11. Jesus flesh tunnels huh? I'll totally invest in a pair....
  12. Aye, but CM7 includes a multistep kernel as default
  13. Yeah, stick setcpu on it - and set it to downclock when the screens off or when the temp gets too high. I'm running CM7 on my desire and never had this problem
  14. Not sure about RM's guides, but Wink is normally a good bet for making video tutorials. Wink - [Homepage]
  15. Titanium Backup does indeed backup settings. Assuming you're rooted. including SMS, app settings, etc.
  16. It's in BTRD, maybe that is something to do with it? as mentions appear on your profile it might be an idea to have it disabled in there.

    I Want!!!!

OI! How very dare you! http://images.cheezburger.com/completestore/2010/10/5/49645dff-2158-4f3a-ad3e-7cafc02bf035.jpg just wait till I get my bladder on a stick tattoo......
  18. I had the same issue a while back. I just tended to not domain join them before sysprepping. did the trick.
  19. They've not stated whether existing models will get the same treatment - but their facebook page seems to be a hive of activity at the moment, so might be worth keeping eyes open for more announcements....
  20. HTC to stop locking smartphone bootloader code ? reghardware So okay, this may not seem like a big deal immediately, but basically what we're seeing here is the manufacturer of a lot of the biggest selling android handsets listening to community requests and giving people an easy way to install a custom ROM, etc As Sony Ericcson are also releasing bootloader unlocks for their newer models, we may be looking at a shift in manufacturers perspective - and maybe modders/rooters won't be seen in such an unfavourable light Me likey!
  21. I've been known to dabble with an instrument or two....
  22. What? the bigger screens have a higher resolution, the actual text size is the same, if not smaller.
  23. The galaxy s2 has some of the best reveiws I've seen - and I'm seriously considering it. However, might be worth thinking about it- is raw power something she'll really need? also both those phones are quite big. I know my other half disliked the size of those handsets, so she's gone with a wildfire. less power, but much smaller, and still a great handset. Maybe head down to a local phone store and actually hold the handsets, see what fits best?
  24. Major Congrats mate! 'Don't tell the bride: geek edition' ?
