ah i see whats happening 1. i upload document 2. it gets listed as a file 3. i must link it to a document. it now appears but i don't want to have to do that each time. I want our governors to be able to upload unhindered.

thats what i thought it would be but there are no docs waiting for approvement, i can see that the files i have uploaded are listed under the files section and not the documents section although i'm not sure why or how to get them to appear as docs.

i agree it looks good although my uploaded docs have disapeared, they appear to upload ok but do not appear?

Just downloading docman any one used it that can help me configure it so that only my governors can access it via a login on the governors page?

hi does any know of an easy to use document repository for uploading and downloading of documents? our govenors want an electronic space for there minutes etc. cheers as always in advance p.s no rush but need it up and running and be able to demonstrate it at at a governors meeting tonight....

hi all i created a website using the ravenswood standalone version of joomla i now need to get it online to my host, has any one done this that can give me some pointers. i know how to transfer the template but its the database contents in mysql that i'm not sure of, although my host does use mysql too so i'm hoping its straightforward As always cheers in advance.

can't disble groups my mistake disable all the users of that group

so i guess if i create 20 odd exam accounts add them to an exam group and give that exam group local admin rights to the machines and permissions to the promissor folder, log the exam users on myself fire up the exam software that should do the trick and then just disable the group when not in use.

Apparently if you set the permissions of everyone or students full control over c:\program files\promissor and it will work as the flash images get dragged in from here. just checking now

Hi all just had a disaster with ALAN tests as they wouldn't display the flash stuff for our users, it works fine as admin and we tested it thoroughly during testing not sure what edexcel/we have done but how should i fault find flash not working for students. p.s i bet if it was a flash game it would damm well work for them!

its external, i have a had quick look at google docs and i think that will do the job nicely.

what tells you its on its last legs (i'm curious so that i can spot the signs)

Hi Joe managed to put some stuff together from the website now but thanks for the offer, we do use jennys story its very hard hitting and really does make the students sit up.

try the default sims username and password when we did the migration on a test machine it hashed all the passwords and this ws the only wway we could get in.

hi this is probally a stupid question but is sims still available during these backups?
