  1. My granddaughter's verdict? "What's these black things Bumps?" "Vanilla seeds" "Oh" Half a cup later. "These vanillas are spicey on my tongue, I don't want any more"... "can I try Curry?"
  2. Phew... lucky I put healthy er (Healthier) in the title. Trade description and all that... I'll take butter and soft cheese and even sugar over wheat. Especially when you consider the amount of veg in the sponge as opposed to the amount of icing. Is dairy unhealthy? Is any food unhealthy in moderation?
  3. Strange really, my career choice at 15 was chef... I became a Painter & Decorator.
  4. It's surprising how nice they are, really moist too. My ultimate test will be dropping some into the grandkids later. There are also recipes for potato, sweet potato and aubergine.
  5. Not since leaving the army .. and getting divorced But seriously, I'm thinking about it. I'm definitely in need of a career/manager change. As you are just down the road...
  6. Having lost 3 stone since this time last year after a longish illness. I have looked at my diet and realised how bad wheat makes me feel. I had a look at Wheat Belly Wheat Belly | Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight and how wheat has been modified out of all recognition. This led me to Harry Eastwood's cookbook Red Velvet Chocolate Heartache: The ultimate feel-good book of natural cakes that taste naughty: Amazon.co.uk: Harry Eastwood: Books.
  7. Well, they are in the office by the sink if you change your mind
  8. A quick snap of my cupcakes made last night. The sponge is made with either courgette or butternut squash with rice flour instead of wheat. The icing is 'traditional', butter, mascarpone and sugar. I was surprised how good they are. Next is a chocolate cake made with beetroot.
  9. Make sure you have enough space for your Docstorage folder, they can get fairly large. The letters are stored there and only use when called up, so memory is not an issue. Make sure you backup this folder regularly.
  10. Maplins do an 8
  11. All of them? I did search honest, just not for printer.
  12. H20'clock
  13. In SIMS, there are various area that say Notes or Documents, you simply search the file and attach. It is then kept as an encrypted copy in Docstorage. there are many areas, such as SEN where you can attach documents/files. Save the relevant files to the corresponding areas. From a printer? You need the correct printer which is linked to SIMS.
  14. You can scan and attach virtually any file to a students details in various areas. You can also scan and attach directly from certain printers, via a login on the printer screen.
  15. I think there is a bit of a misconception about the military. There are occasions where shouting is used but there is also a vast majority of the time when it is not. Some of that shouting is there for a reason, such as moving large bodies of people around safely and efficiently or giving a clear and precise command. The same person who will shout at you could also be the person who will save your life or even be one of the best 'managers' you will ever meet. Eventually shouting becomes just that, meaningless and counter-productive because you stop listening. Until I was 17/18 we only had drill on a Saturday morning, the remainder of the week was like being in a college with a few more rules and a uniform. Being shouted at is not one of my lasting memories. The friends and instructors (military and civilian) did stay with me.
  16. It's certainly not a solution to all problems. Plenty of people I knew (not me of course) when out causing problems, getting drunk. I knew a corporal who was a football hooligan when on leave. I could easily get a drink underage, in uniform. It was good for me, but it didn't work for others in my intake.
  17. I joined up at 15. May 1972 to be exact. It was one of the best things I did. I hated school. I carried on my education and learned a trade before I was 18.
  18. Okay. I just wanted to make it clear I don't just sent anything out to just anyone. It's horses for courses with the solution, mine came from a support in bulk point of view, which is what I understood the OP wanted, his PM confirmed this.
  19. If a report is created it could have Green Abbey or Watersedge as supplier or any other 'School' name the users decides to create. Changing the name of these dummy schools is a pain and not worth the hassle. I am very careful what I send out by way of bypassing Capita and Supportnet. If a 3rd party, non-LA or ex-LA, and there are many cropping up now, uses training data to create Report Defs or if they use a school they might have access to, none of the data is exported. If it was I would not have sent the utility. I personally would assume someone somewhere has given him access a SIMS database on which he creates and exports Report Defs and wishes people to know he provides this service and who they should contact if these reports need updating in future. If live data is involved I would need proof before sending any utility that the person had a legitimate use for it. This Utility simply changes wording within the Report Def, so I know I would not be helping in any 'illicit' or unethical use of a database. Trainers and suchlike could be asked by a school to produce a Report, which having spent a fair amount of time on they might want to save and export, then pass to others schools. The possible scenarios are too many to list why someone would want the original name off the report list, not least because it just look tidier and is easier to find.
  20. "I'd rather have the 'supplier' column of the report browse list show some sort of trading name instead of the real school name from where the report originated." A 3rd party name as supplier was what was asked for, the utility I sent @iceman has given him exactly what he wanted. Simple. ... but I bet the argument will run into next week
  21. Me not having time to save and rename hundreds of reports... especially when myself and the OP are more than satisfied with the utility...will bow out of the discussion. Glad I could help. EDIT: BTW the utility was supplied by Capita, so presumably they felt a need for it.
  22. It's a really simple utility that will change the 4th column in the list, Supplier. It is great for people who design reports, for future reference and advertising who created them. Saving in the destination school only changes the 3rd column, Owner
  23. Create a report for 200 schools Simple: Open one report, save as imported to school Not simple: open report 200 times and save. Less simple: open 10 reports 200 times and save.
  24. It's not that simple. I'm just searching for the utility now... EDIT: Found it and emailed to you.
  25. If I understand correctly you want a name other than the person or school who created the report to show in the column of the reports list? If so, yes you can. I think there is a patch we use occasionally. I'm not in work, so if you want me to check PM me and I'll look in the morning.
