SharePoint accessing Network Drives
chrisgoodrich replied to chrisgoodrich's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
Unfortunately not anymore. In SharePoint 2013 it only works using classic authentication and not the default claims based authentication. -
Hello, We have just purchased and installed SIMS Learning Gateway and are self hosting on our SharePoint 2013 farm. Instead of having an separate document library on SharePoint and our network shared drives we would like to be able to access our shared drives through Sharepoint. Is anyone doing this? If so how? Any help or advice would be gratefully received. Thank you

In my experience of Apple TV's within a schools network they are unable to access the network. What I have done is taken the Aplle TV home to update it, then brought it back to school to use. If your iPad can't see the Apple TV then this could be down to bonjour. Take a look at our school's iPad blog for information on getting an Ipad to talk to an Apple TV on a Meru wireless network. The same issues may occur with other vendors wireless networks. http://www.mountbatten.hants.sch.uk/blog/ipad

I have managed to get it working for our students who do not currently have an Exchange account. Now to work out how to make it work for the Exchange users so I can start to migrate.

I am looking to migrate from our internal Exchange 2010 to Live@Edu. I know Office365 is replacing it soon but want to make a start. I have configued OLSync on FIM2010 when I do the first run sync all the messages say 'success' Hosted [Full Import (Stage Only)] success OnPremise [Full Import (Stage Only)] success OnPremise [Full Sync] success Hosted [Delta Sync] success Hosted [Delta Import (Stage Only)] success OnPremise [Delta Import (Stage Only)] success OnPremise [Delta Sync] success Hosted [Delta Sync] success Hosted [Export] success Hosted [Delta Import (Stage Only)] success When I look in the application logs I have some error messages: Event 6127, FIMSyncronizationService The management agent "Hosted" completed run profile "Delta Import (Stage Only)" with a delta import or delta synchronization step type. The rules configuration has changed since the last full synchronization. User Action To ensure the updated rules are applied to all objects, a run with step type of full synchronization should be completed. I also have one of the following error message: Event 1025, OLMA The download URL 'https://www.microsoft.com/exchange/code/GALSync' can't be reached. Check your Internet connection settings to verify that the URL can be reached on this computer. No users are being created on Live@Edu. Any help would be greatfully recieved. Thanks you

Hi, I am being told by the company who we have a contract with for the above model printer that the memory settings have been wiped and there is no way of putting them back so the printer is dead! I find this hard to believe. Has anyone else had this experience? Thanks Chris
