  5. They seem keen on the Homepage idea. Discover would kill the servers in our schools. We really have to keep it simple for this lot. That's why I wanted the easiest solution, not something I always go for. they had the ise they only put children's details on SIMS for the Censuses.
  6. Is that one of KTel's? Hitler would have it in his Wish List.
  7. I also have to add The Ruttles Narrator: Stig, meanwhile, had hidden in the background so much that in 1969, a rumor went around that he was dead. He was supposed to have been killed in a flash fire at a waterbed shop and replaced by a plastic and wax replica from Madame Tusseaud's. Several so-called "facts" helped the emergence of this rumor. One: he never said anything publicly. Even as the "quiet one," he'd not said a word since 1966. Two: on the cover of their latest album, "Shabby Road," he is wearing no trousers, an Italian way of indicating death. Three: Nasty supposedly sings "I buried Stig" on "I Am The Waitress." In fact, he sings, "E burres stigano," which is very bad Spanish for "Have you a water buffalo?" Four: On the cover of the "Sergeant Rutter" album, Stig is leaning in the exact position of a dying Yeti, from the Rutland Book of the Dead. Five: If you sing the title of "Sergeant Rutter's Only Darts Club Band" backwards, it's supposed to sound very like "Stig has been dead for ages, honestly." In fact, it sounds uncannily like "Dnab Bulc Ylno S'rettur Tnaegres." Palpable nonsense. and the Spinal Taps.
  8. Yeh, I read the book in the mid 70s.

  13. Chris White, saxophonist for Dire Straits was a year above me in school.
  14. After playing around I found that the Homepage Panel 'Attendance Summary Whole' shows Unauthorised Absences when clicking on the date icon. This might well work for them.
  15. Oh yes, an every day occurrence at one time. Turned around to a voice I recognised and met 'Charlie'. My daughter saw me drive past one shot in my distinctive yellow transit once. We exited Warrenpoint sharpish when we heard Maggie was about to visit. Shortly after the bombings.
  16. I saw him and Feargal Sharkey getting out of a helicopter in Bristol, as I was driving past, around the start of the Feed The World campaign. I was also on stage with Alan Taylor of Mr & Mrs in the 70s and around the same time Frank Carson (I didn't like him one bit, even more miserable than Van Morrison)
  17. You're forgiven then.
  18. You met Davina.... and she's still breathing... I'm disappointed in you... to say the very least.
  19. Princess Anne. I sat a couple of chairs away from Stephanie Cole in the theatre this year, the bloke she was with was famous but can't for the life of me put a name to the face. Alfie Bow and Aled Jones last year at the Welsh Proms. Simon Weston, who was burned badly in the Falklands. Precious MacKenzie, olympic weightlifter around the 70s. Lee Evans lived a couple of streets away from me, this was way before he was famous, I'm sure our paths crossed as he dated my neighbour. Tony Robinson, he sat me in his kitchen with a glass of grapefruit juice. I was there to price up some decorating work. I worked on designs for Frank Williams' house\mansion and also Dave Rappaport's house. EDIT: What a name dropper
  20. I'll take a look today, it really is one of our most challenging schools. But I'll do my best.
  21. ...Royal Wooton Bassett. BBC News - Wootton Bassett given Royal prefix by the Princess Royal
  22. I suspect that nothing short of a hand coming out of the monitor and slapping them awake would work in this particular school. I was skightly encouraged to see they are using Comments, so that may be the solution. Running reports etc. are a non-starter.
  23. We have a Primary school that would like to flag up when a child does not attend. Other than a Comment red flag or a Report Card 'R' would not really be enough of a kick where this school is concerned. Does anyone have a similar problem and solution?
  24. I might have to take a trip down there at the weekend. My feet have shrunk, along with the rest of my body.
  25. How high are the heels
