As far as SIMS goes, only Schoolcomms is built into the system and needs no interactive syncing.

@matt40k You are brave. We are waiting to at least after the Software seminar. The school who wiped out their attendance marks for this year was DBAttached to another machine. No passwords worked that I know but I managed to get in with a teacher's and nearly got in with a defunct login.... very strange. It needs a bit of looking at.

To be fair to Capita, someone has to be :-), Banks don't have to prioritise government changes every few months and then incorporate them into these logs... in a meaningful way. Don't forget, every school doesn't have the people with the knowledge or ability to interrogate these logs.

Having been involved with Change Request Days with Capita, this changed has been rejected a number of times. Reasons being that the log would be huge and unwieldy due to the number of transactions in SIMS. There is a log for Attendance and one in Primaries for Dinner Money at present. I know the Dinner Money log is large and wouldn't want to have to trawl through a 'general' log. Especially if you don't know the date it was amended, erased, added etc.

Excuse me!! Can you point out the word 'New' in my post. Capita will not sell us Academy licenses to pass on to our schools. They need to buy direct from Capita. Are you suggesting Capita are telling 'untruths' to us and we can buy the school's licenses for them???

You will need to buy direct from Capita. The cost depends on how many pupils you have and what modules you use. It will be significantly more expensive. You can get SIMS support from whoever and wherever you choose.

As an LA Support Team, we do not own the license. We buy on behalf of the school. There is a return from Capita for the support we provide. The school should still be licensed... providing Capita received there money. You may lose out for the support side of things. You should really speak to Capita, who I am sure will help you. You could PM Phil Neal here, who will give things a push, I'm sure.
