I dont know what to do. have Just been told that instead on just the one filtered proxy we now have 3 one for staff (unfiltered)i need to set up logins, 2 windows upate will not filter microsoft site. 3 student filter. what a pain i sopose the best thing to do now it to install wsus but i dont know have only got one server and is a primary school i need some idears. did not think i had enough to do it but to log in change proxy update then log out is going to be a pain in the A$$.

you can force the login via group policy and as soon as thego on the net they will need to connect to the network everytime if they are not on the network they will not be able to log in. Its a nasty thing to do but it will work and once they get used to it you will be able to take the policy off again. I had that problem and then one of the laptops broke and when they came to me and asked where all thee work was i said when was the last time you were on the network and they said months ago the i gave them the good news i could give them the work from 4 months ago but thats it. if the dont log in it dont get backed up.

i have found a really good script here exel bulk add user script i have modofied it to this have added userPrincipalName profilePath and displayName have also done one with the user home path as well and it all works really well it is not mine so i cant take no credit but it is a free sample and i have left the creater name in there but it works really well as i get a csv from sims copy and paste forename and sername use exel to create the rest and its done all i donow is copy and paste from csv to exel.

that seems a lot better dont want the player just need the codec wmp will do as a player

i got sky multi room have got it in 3 rooms and one is sky plus and still only pay the 10 extra which i dont mind

so for 12 machines i need £270 which is money we just have not got at the moment. Never mind i will have to look into somthing else. wish you could just buy the codec cheap lol

I am not a civilian and have just left (invalid out due to bad knees one of the most common problems) one of the main reason i found for not haveing the right equipment is companys knowing that our service needed somthing and due to procurement and contract terms fat cat became fatter and charged a arm and a leg. And they got away with it. Something that you could pay 10 pounds for the armed service would end up paying 20 things are changing but it takes time. thats what we were told.

yes i understand that but i still ned to pay for the codecs for the machines that do not have the correct software which is not cheap.

what do you mean a set top box all have some machines with dvd players on them but like i said some dont and some of these are teachers laptops

In Flanders Fields By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. Inspiration for the Poem On 2 May, 1915, in the second week of fighting during the Second Battle of Ypres Lieutenant Alexis Helmer was killed by a German artillery shell. He was a friend of the Canadian military doctor Major John McCrae. It is believed that John began the draft for his famous poem 'In Flanders Fields' that evening.

ok this will make you laugh (not) we decided that we needed a dvd codec and as a law abiding school would pay for it. Guess what 1 dont do educational licence for it and have also been told will have to pay full price for every machine we want to put it on. This has made me give up the will to live as we have just been given 7 pcs they have nothing on them so installed xp using a volume licance they all have dvd roms and we were going to use thm as a media pc but have got to buy 7 +5 laptops with no dvd player on a codec and at full price i can see this getting very expencive. any ideas for a legal cost efective way.

Yes thats the biggest problem you have when you come out you cant tell anyone about things that happed and chat about how it used to be due to offical secrets act and noone want to know anyway and when you are old enough people think you are just going on. I belong to Submarines Old Comrades and the have some great stores and they have such a laugh but all these clubs are dying out due to lack of support and people giving them the wrong impression. This club are there for people to get to know people in the sam situation. But some people just dont understand. here are a few navy ones navy associations Fleet air arm associations sorry i cant find any for air force or army

very nice i like it its all there

I am glade i am not the only one who thinks the same way i do but i know there are some people who dont i got really upset last year as one shop still kept trading during 2 min silince i was so annoyed i refused to buy anything in there. By the way i would just like to say the Royal British Legion are the best having just been medicaly discharged they have been nothing but help also the Vetrains Agency. But even if you are not a Royal British Legion member they will try to help you one of the best i have ever come across. Thank You

i know this is probley sill. but i know there a few xservice people use this fourm and i would just like remind people if its ok that rememberance day is not just for the people in world war 1 + 2 but is about all are service men an women who died fighting for this country. I hope people dont mind it just upset me today when somone said to me world war 1 + 2 were two long ago and should be forgot. I know people who have died in Iraq ok they are not fighting to defend us but they are doing what they are told to and risk there live to do it. ( I am sorry if i affend anybody)

no i a am not baa humbug i just think that it has become to commercialised i still love the spirit of christmas the decs and all the great songs (you better not shout you better not cry) oh yes i love all that its just the no fun no more i like to give and get unusual presents i love to put thought into it. lol it was just somthing a friend said to me last year. he had been sending a old friend a card for years they never talked or anything so one year he put in his card to meat up and have a chat his answer came 1 week later sorry he died 4 years ago. Sad but true if i send a card i alway make sure i still know them and if i have not spoke to them in a while its a time to meet up have fun. And if you did fall out over somthing silly forget get drunk together and have a laugh thats what christmas is about for me. (sorry to go on but i lost a frind at christmas and we had not spoke for a while over somthing silly and i regret it.)

Xmas whats that is that where i go out and spend money on tat for people and send cards to people i have not seen in years (they might even be dead) and i might not even like. and where i gain the standerd smellys and socks of me brothers lol i think that about rounds it up.(bought myself a prezzy this year a new notebook and a edugeek mug what more could i want)

there are a few capture devices but i am not on my own pc so i cant help there at the moment but i know if you have windvd or powerdvd they both have ability to capture but as for a cheap option i cant rember.

thats ok unless you want to capture somthing like a dvd/video capture.
