I got this mail just now 10 minutes after they've supposed to have finished. Dunno why... left them 4 years ago. Good luck. 2. Is MDT better than WDS for one off deployments? WDS sucks.
  3. Oh, and plenty of non flammable insulation between the outer skin and the ply on the wall.
  4. I know someone who did a tranny --> camper conversion. I think you're ok as long as a) you dont change the cockpit b) any proper seats in the rear need 3 point seatbelts. I think if you have rear windows they shouldn't be obstructed and no protrusions on the outside. All he used was MDF, bit of ply, wiring & fixtures and a load of carpet. Stick in a gas bottle, hob, water container and a pump and you're laughing. And a big stereo of course Keep the weight down cos it will smash your MPG and torque.
  5. My favourite TG Vauxhall / Opel arent the greatest to begin with but I can't imagine they'll get any better being Pukegeots. At least half a million people didn't lose their jobs.
  6. Anyone trialed Smoothwall Visigo yet? Any good/bad feedback? And any indication of price per device? What alternatives do you guys currently use if any? Cheers in advance

  17. I said Now try boundaries in a primary school where you can hardly hear the kids even when you're standing next to them. Quoted from Shure "The drawbacks to these microphones are some of the same drawbacks we have seen with overhead mics, primarily the distance from the sound source and the proximity to the loudspeakers. Add to this, the pickup of stage noise from the actors’ feet, scenery movements, etc." Anyway I actually agree more with @dhicks
  18. and they better get used to this .....
  19. Alonso was eighth last time I looked. Still not very good.
  20. Simple DMX lighting desk, however many PAR/lamps/LED's you need, DMX controllers for the desk --> lamp interface, and a load of DMX & power cabling & mounts/stands. Job done and make it as complicated or simple as you want. 12 lamps, brackets and desk shouldn't cost more than 600-700 at the most. Image Size, Throw Distance & Beam Angle Calculator | Enlightened Lighting Mics are more difficult - forget boundary mics unless you're in a smallish room - they're usually mounted on the opposite wall to the person speaking or ceiling. I have major trouble trying to mic up stage performances in our gym. Problem is getting the mics close enough to be able to amplify them without driving the gain up resulting in massive feedback... and I've got a collection of expensive mics I've dared to bring in. Even with wireless handhelds our kids don't understand that the microphone actually needs to be close to your mouth, not held down at the waist! You might get away with two or three condenser mics mounted at knee level (in mic cages to stop foot stamping coming up through the mic stand) but they'll need phantom power from a desk and be gained up pretty high... ... or suspend them from the ceiling in front of the stage (then they spin round the wrong way). Have a look at AKG C1000's or Rode NT1A's. The Rode has amazingly high pick up and can be driven hard. I have 2 and they're brilliant. £150 ish quid each. Add one of these and it might work .... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Behringer-FBQ2496-Feedback-Destroyer-Suppressor/dp/B000KIPT26 Lapel/headset mics are the way to go but they're expensive, you'll no doubt need a good few and you'll need a decent mixing desk for the number of inputs... .... then the kids will smash them within a week and no doubt they'll go walkies very quickly. :)
  21. Had a demo of Sophos recently. Looked great. Stuck with Smooth' after hammering them down on the price and to avaoid the hassle. Will change next time around though.
  22. lol. I've never seen Life in rock. Looks good.
  23. I don't think so. I've only got 3 in at the moment. Two mirrored and a spare.
  24. No. I want to make a RAID1 array larger than the size of each single disk. I think I need RAID 10. Didn't think of disk performance yet. Good point. My onboard controller only has RAID0 and RAID1. I think I might need a new controller.
