I need some help please edupeeps... I cant get WSUS installed on Server 2016. Getting this error at the post installation tasks phase: --------------------- Log file is located at C:\Users\administrator.XXXXXXXXXX\AppData\Local\Temp\tmp960D.tmp Post install is starting Fatal Error: Schema verification failed for database 'SUSDB'. ALTER DATABASE statement failed. Failed to restart the current database. The current database is switched to master. --------------------- Database is WID, not SQL. Uninstalled it, reinstalled it etc etc. Its the only role installed on the server. I'm asking it to store updates in c:\wsusupdates. !! Problems every time I've ever installed WSUS on any version of Windows. Why is it so cr@p ? !! Any ideas? Cheers in advance :mad::mad:

+1 for Veeam endpoint. I does work well as long as you can boot with the correct NIC driver - which is a pain.

Almost £2000 a year to license Veeam B&R standard for 4 CPU's (2 hosts). This is from Pugh. Is yours the same ?? Cheers in advance

Yes. Googles cloud offering is Google docs - not compatible with Microsoft. If that isn't desirable, Office 365 has stripped down versions of Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Publisher and Notes (amongst others) that can be used direct in the browser and saved/synced in OneDrive. If you have EES Microsoft licensing you are covered for free Office 365 and Office. Why not trial each and see which suits you best.

Googles offering come with a whole heap of (in my opinion) more school focussed extras. I however rolled out O365 3 years ago and whilst its great for mail and some other things, I personally wish I had gone the Gmail route because of Google Apps For Education.

And you can get mega bargains at the end of the big bike shows when the vendors are trying to offload their stock. And start reading MCN. Its mandatory !!

And another thing. If you don't drive I seriously recommend you do your bike theory test before you go anywhere near a road. The CBT road training is shyte. On mine, one of the instructors thought I was too good to be plodding about with the others so we went on a 30 mile ride all over the place. It was like a big bike lesson. Brilliant!!

That Varadero is HUGE for a 125. Swingarm and rear remind me of the old TW 125 yammys. EDIT: Maybe not - that TW125 rear tyre is ridiculous. My mate had one for a few years. Lovely to ride - but sooo slow.

@localzuk - deadly seriously m8... budget for your protective equipment first - and decent gear, especially helmet. Spend the rest on the bike ! You can get a decent 125 for 700 quid that'd do for a year or so. Then get another one if needed/desired. Wise advice from a wise old wizard !

If on a 125 @localzuk you're not going to go anywhere fast especially when accelerating up the A road - which might be an issue. Have a second plan in heavy rain and for the winter because you will come off --- and a 125 is bloody uncomfortable. I helped a chap up near chesterfield the other week who pulled up at the lights coming off the motorway in front of me on a white 1100 sports bike (think it was a Yammy). Put his foot down, felt the cramp and went over. Stopped to help him up obviously. Made a mess of his bike tho. Be super careful.
