  1. @DGardiner Y I've been looking at that. Is that literally that you can only send commands one device at a time ? That would be shocking.
  2. @AJB123 & @DalekSec Does the free version of Moysle support DEP properly? Particularly VPP Device Assignment. The main problem Im running into with legacy/free Meraki is that I need apple ID's on all the 'pads to install remotely and its a mega pain in the ****.
  3. I'll have a good look at Mosyle. Cheers @DalekSec
  4. @DalekSec All of this is covered then I presume ...
  5. Cheers @DalekSec Does Mosyle support device assigned apps?.. for DEP.... to push apps without apple id's I have 150 ipads so Meraki and Jamf is more like 4.5K for me.
  6. I need something that will DEP, device assign apps, location track, add profiles, remote wipe / lock / kill. Its all mainly IOS tbh but Android would be a plus. Anyone using Jamf ?
  7. I gave up on TightVNC due to it's slowness. RealVNC Viewer is much better for me. I was using Windows to Mac however. Try them out @witch. No harm. Either or. VNC is about the best way to give your end users the full Windows desktop/Office experience with the least amount of faff.
  8. Bung it in the ceiling and remote control with a VNC program.. VNC is a remote desktop access method that allows you to control another PC over a network, similar to Teamviewer. Install the client on the NUC, server on which ever PC's and you can control the machine in realtime, NOT like Windows remote desktop where it's session based. You'll stand in front of the screen and see everything the remote user is doing. Have a look here.... http://www.realvnc.com It's dead easy. EDIT: VNC Viewer is RealVNC's free product. It works!
  9. Theyre Windows 10 (Used to be 7), on the domain and are running on whiteboards, display screens... An i3 handles anything thrown at it. HDMI/Mini display only though... no VGA. A wireless KB/Trackpad for the classroom, or for display screens.... Real VNC / Tight VNC. Love 'em.
  10. Hi all, I'm after some advice on MDM's - I'm managing a stack of iPads and a small handful of Androids. I'm over subscribed with the number of iPad devices I'm currently managing with Meraki. I'm on the freebie subscription... so 100 device limit I think (although I've enrolled more... not sure whats going on there ! ) Anyway, Meraki is waaayyy to expensive to buy, and it's a bit cr@p tbh. Mixed experiences with it. Who's using a better alternative. What, why and how much? Looking for some opinions and experiences please. I'd appreciate some comments. Cheers in advance
  11. Depends on the processor/Onboard GPU. Minimum i3 with 8gb RAM and I'd say you'd be fine. I've got loads. Theyre faultless and fast. Really great little machines.
  12. Intel NUC all the way.
  13. Dont forget server / core / infrastructure upgrades services costs - subscriptions, support contracts etc training/staff development telephony curriculum resource costs
  14. Whats that @southhamster?
  15. Cheers @Andrew_C I'll give one a go. Can't go wrong for a fiver.
  16. Hi all, I have a couple of rooms whereby the powered speakers are really noisy - it sounds like interference from the power socket... unless its something environmental. Replacement speakers of a different brand and all new cables offer the same problem. They're connected to a micro ATX PC directly from the audio ouput (no wall plates etc). They're quite noisy with nothing plugged into them and noisier still with a device plugged into the input... you can really hear the digital 'chatter' --> hard disk reads etc. The sound when not plugged in a bit is like the FM interference you'd get from a guitar amp... but theres no hum like with an earth loop.... can't think of how else to describe it. Any ideas out there on how to narrow it down or isolate the interference ? Cheers in advance
  17. @mhaddock Don't know if you purchased yet but... APC Smart-UPS SMT1500IC - £450 - Ebuyer. I just bought one of these and it works well. Run time of about 35 mins. Plug it in, register online, jobs a goodun. All the config is done via cloud. SmartConnect does not support configuring local networking options. Connected it has QNAP 4 bay NAS, rack KVM switch, monitor, Ruckus Zonedirector, 6 switches, 2 x media converters. (Extra power outlets supplied by rack power strip with IEC plug to connect to UPS - £30 Amazon) Does what it needs to do.
  18. Indeed. Exactly. Yes. Did I not mention this is management top shelf. Another
  19. Its just one big form someone created and 'didnt realise' they were using Google not MS
  20. Hi all, Import a Google Form into Micosoft Forms ??? Please someone have an answer to this or am I going to end up doing this by hand. Its not my form !!!!! Pleeeassee ... Cheers in advance

The link looks genuine too... and when clicked on goes to what appears to be a genuine dropbox URL. Is anyone else getting these ?
  22. Da da da.. da da dum.. dum daaa... Phrom Me To You!
  23. Its not technically a bug. More the way Win10 handles multiple interfaces.... badly. I discovered issues after upgrading to 10 from 7. Never had an issue with 7. 10 would work sometimes on some machines, always on others, never on the rest. Not good. I've got that config built into my fat win10 images. Look for a GPO to set the network settings.
  24. Try this... works for me with Win10 VPN isssues... https://www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0001402
