All ours are stacked - roughly 20 stacks of either 2 or 3 members per stack. Managed via putty mostly by me or CLI for a quick fix, easily manageable certainly as it's not a particularly large estate and it's not something you'd really be changing every day.

I still highly recommend against using Aruba Central on switches, it's not quite there yet and the ability to cause sitewide issues due to a single switch change is far too likely - it's a wireless system.

Hard to say these days but Microsoft's stance over the last 10 years hasn't changed much - during meetings and events with them they've always been open and saying they won't be checking up on people especially schools as the majority do the right thing anyway. Do yourself a favour - assuming you have the choice, do NOT use aruba central for switches - it's a wireless system with the switch stuff thrown in shoddily afterwards and it just isn't ready for use even now. Understand you may not have a choice though if the trial is via HP. Do use Putty rather than the inbuilt console. Cant remember if hostname is a correct command but also need to be sure you're using the right command set - confusingly there's 2 for HP stuff, comware and procurve, and it's the latter you need. Simplest solutions are usually the best. White goods often have 3 well places holes to "dock" the plug when in transit. Wouldn't be difficult to put similar 3 holes in a piece of cardboard packaging to do the same for small devices.

Depends on the fault - if it's something like a damaged component or trace due to mishandling or physical accident, just about any electronics repair place will be able to do that. If it's a suspect GPU issue, then it's bin-time by which point you stand to lose nothing by sticking it in the oven to get between an hour and a year's more use out of it. If it's a 1060 of any flavour, just bin it - I haven't read into it yet but a brief look around fleabay shows there's clearly issues with them due to the sheer amount of faulty ones about (and they won't have been used for mining)

At the current moment in time, there isn't a graphics card available to buy period. You won't get a 6800XT for anything under £800 which is silly money, even Geforce 1050's are hitting £200 and that's frankly ridiculous. The only slither of hope is a preorder for a geforce 3060 - scan have one listed at £299 but you've more chance of winning the lottery than bagsying one of them! Still, I'm considering selling my GTX 970, it's value at the moment is double what I paid for it!
