Woke up this morning to a inch covering of snow, got halfway to work to be hit in the face by a full white out blizzard...we are due for this all day, but the schools open...for now

Bit of a covering last night in Lincs, but didn't look any worse than a heavy frost. Just made de-icing my car a PITA.

Been down granville road this morning. That was really bad 4X4s were locking up and skidding. We have staff in High Green area who can't get in due to buses not running.

We have 15 Staff from Stannington, Dore, Manchester and Huddersfield who havent made it in. None of the highgreen/ecclesfield students are here

Went to bed last night with nothing on the ground....woke up this morning to a good couple of inches on the cars and blizzard like conditions!

 

School open at this point, but a large number of students not in, sadly it seems to have stopped now and the settled snow is melting :-(

We keep boucing between blizzards and sun. Road outside school is gridlocked, even if school did close we couldnt get anywhere :/ (in Chesterfield)

Still coming down here, get a band of blizzard then bright sunshine then blizzard again....but its not really changing the amount on the ground....the roads are not good though

Was about a centimetre on the ground at home his AM, frozen. Once out of my estate, the roads were OK, I thought. Get into work with no hassles, even though the site is white over and frozen.

 

Snow/ice tyres FTW. No slippage at all.
