But Sat night am a bit stuck...
Midget Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 uhhh.... how about going to the pub and getting others to get you drunk?
john Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Your 21 and a systems manager, how on earth did you get that job Anyway, enjoy it, its all downhill from 21. As for fun, lazerquest and painballing are all fun, you could go to Xscape and spend time there thats a good place.
beeswax Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 uhhh.... how about going to the pub and getting others to get you drunk? Now why didn't I think of that?
strawberry Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 clay pidgeon shooting?, offroad driving?, hire a supercar for the day bbq's a great cheap alternative
Midget Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 if it's sunny, garden + beer + bbq = fat filled drunken fun
FN-GM Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 i like midgets idea, but one thing.... The BBQ. It been raining for weeks when will be see any sun for the BBQ? Alternatively have it in your garage.
Midget Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 when you're drunk you dont have to worry about things like rain. as long as there is a hood over the BBQ you are "sorted" as I am informed the kids would say
FN-GM Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 well when i was at a party last year they decided 2 relight the bbq when they were drunk forgot about it. it caught fire and set the hedge on fire. The people next door were not happy.
Midget Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 The people next door were not happy. They didn't have a camera to record it for You've Been Framed I take it then?
timbo343 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 Thanks for all the ideas ummm i forgot to mention, mates live in york and they dont have much money... I suppose, drunken night out round york it is then lol. @ john, i think its fair to say that theres a lot a stuff flying round my head and since i was a student at this school i knew the ins and outs of the network, but the pay isnt that good, and ive been doig this job (systems manager) since i was 18.
Guest richard Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 How about staying in with a good book and actually staying sober for once.
Skoggmeiger Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Lazerquest? Clay Pidgeon Shooting? Jesus H Corbett! He's 21, not 14 or 40. Go to a strip club then go and sow you wild oats for gods sake. Then, whatever you do, do not come on here and make a post at 2.44am!
localzuk Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 How about staying in with a good book and actually staying sober for once. Heretic!!!
Guest richard Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 How about staying in with a good book and actually staying sober for once. Heretic!!! So!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tscnmuk Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Clay Pidgeon Shooting? He's 21, not 14 or 40. Hey! Nothing wrong with Clay Pidgeon shooting, I go two/three times a week and I'm only 20!
davyboi Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Skoggmeiger had most sensible idea go get numb n get in a strip club or summat your only 21 once lol
Guest richard Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 There is a lot more to life than getting wasted and going to a strip club. Those things are so boring. Also the girls in a strip club aren't the most enthusiastic as a rule.
localzuk Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Yes, there is a lot more to life than getting wasted and going to strip clubs - but this is his 21st. It is traditionally a day for doing just that. You can be sensible and enjoy the other aspects of life the rest of the time, just on that day it is time for debauchery and excess! (Note to any future employers: I am a very sensible person, have not visited any strip clubs and don't do the whole getting wasted thing... )
Skoggmeiger Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Clay Pidgeon Shooting? He's 21, not 14 or 40. Hey! Nothing wrong with Clay Pidgeon shooting, I go two/three times a week and I'm only 20! To be honest, I'm sure it's darn good fun. Was just trying to get the lad to realise you're only 21 once, (unless you're a women of course).
_Bat_ Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Lol, I have to agree with Richard on this one . For my 21st (which was only two months ago) I just had a party with a few friends and family and absolutely no alcohol whatsoever (none of us drink and I'm happy with it that way). We still had fun... there are just no advantages to alcohol, if you need it to be sociable then something is missing .
Guest richard Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 To be honest I am fed up of seeing the results of various birthdays being left outside my front door every weekend. I happen to live opposite a pub, chinese takeaway and a kebab shop in the center of town so you can imagine what I find.
ChrisC Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 BBQs rock! (award for most helpfull post comming soon!) Seriously though, i'm more of a bbq at home person, the problem with going out drinking is the cost! Round here in bournemouth it's about £3+ for a drink (depending on what you drink), where you can get a whole load from the local supermarché (lol), and enjoy close company at home. BBQs seriously rock though. And when it gets cold/dark move in for a night of movies and games and stuff! Chris
