amyr Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I'm full time term time only (so 39 weeks of full time work in which to cram everything in). But I only do 35 hours a week, of which only the mornings are useful as thats when the suite is not used so I can carry on with most of my list of jobs. Occasionally I pop in in the holidays if we've got a project happening then -last year I came in to check that the Smartboard installs went according to plan. And its definately true that if its got a plug and looks remotely technical it must come under my job description so I have to fix it. In my experience there's not enough females in IT - its definately male dominated (hmm not sure if that's the best word )

alonebfg Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 you said befor not enough females in it they may not be in the tech support side but in the programme side and web desgin database and programme desgin 90% is done by women they sem to have the patince ie we rang up sims support with a problem and the only person who could fix it was a female who (so i was told) is there top programmer. and like i say behind every good man is a better woman ( his mum ) lol

I don't have the patience for programming and could never get my head round all of the syntax - its bad enough working with html code on webpages - the only downside to my job is the heavy lifting which thankfully there's not much of.

Still, what with the lifting and the trekking around the school, who needs exercise classes. And you can eat all the Iced Mussolinis you want to without worrying about the calories!
