Who do you guys use for toner recycling? None of the three recycling companies we have used in the past (Recycool, MoneyToSchools and EachOneCounts) take the toners from our new printers.

I wonder if I am struggling because the manufacturer offers a recycling scheme. At least that means they're not going into landfill, but I'd rather get some money for the school or a charity as well.

We use The Recycling Factory; doesn't cost us anything.

We're having real difficulties finding anyone to take Konica, Kyocera or Samsung toners.

I just throw them in the box with the others. We dont have time to sive though them.

Same here - anything and everything goes in our box. We possibly don't get paid for them, but they get taken off my hands - what they choose to do with them once they get them, thats up to them )

I use ReClaimIT, just chuck them all in and they pick them up.

On a related topic, do you encourage staff and pupils to bring cartridges in from home to a) recycle them and b) raise a bit of extra cash?

Looks like that's what I'll have to do. Would have been nice to get a few pennies for charity though.

Tesco take certain ink cartidges, mainly HP ones. For each one you can get 100 clubcard points = £1 worth of vouchers. In effect 4 carts would = one cinema voucher.

You can recycle all your toner cartridges for free here and all money raised goes to Bullying UK. You'll also get the paper work you'll need for any environmental audits you might have

Most of the companies listed here only seem to accept original cartridges, anyone know of a company that will take compats no quibble.
