I wish I wasn't stupid the other year and give up a place when I could get a mortgage just because I was a little tight for cash. I wish I would of struggled and I would of been ok.
witch Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Ours gets paid off this year too. The worst years for us were the ones where we had three children and only one salary coming in - but we managed and it is worth it. If you can possibly do it, then go for it.

I'm 3 years younger than you on half the money (after reductions), I live in a place with my brother but would go back home any day so I had less cash going out!

I have 18 years untill my mortgage is done... currently giving over half my monthly salary to cover that, then the lodger pays the insurances and bills... Tiiiiiight much!
