NikChillin Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 So did somebody organise a mass face-pull at the camera or was this spontaneous? I got a serious case of paranoia opening Chrome to see this just now! [ATTACH=CONFIG]12693[/ATTACH] Me too... SCARY!
kaphc Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I could get into trouble at work for looking at pictures like that lol!
elsiegee40 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 It was very much orchestrated. I was watching bettcam and saw them organise themselves in the last few minutes before the camera went off!
Little-Miss Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 My "whoops" moment last year was threatening to get my hedgehog out....
Dos_Box Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) We have to stare at the camera for several minutes until Shaun can capture the correct image and shut it off. Unfortunately it also means we get bored after 20 seconds and pull faces. Or in Tony's case keeps it straight Edited January 13, 2012 by Dos_Box
X-13 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 threatening to get my hedgehog out.... Ooh err, [Little-]Missus!
Harlquinth Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 I signed my name on the poster yesterday and didnt realize it wasnt a solid wall. Nearly took the whole stand down!! Now that would have been a good webcam snapshot Poster? Didn't realise there was a poster to sign, but I only managed to quickly stop by. Peter.
synaesthesia Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Well not being able to go I spent a fair bit of today (whilst doing other things obviously) watching the webcam feed. Mostly so we could try and spot our colleague, laugh at the 'Dook's face paints, play "Spot the EasiPC T-Shirt" and "Spot the out of place teacher". We saw all apart from our colleague who probably spent a bit too much time trying to murder a certain supplier of VLE integrated SIMS stuff. The teacher was fantastic though - the stereotypical brown jacket, corduroy trousers and out of place shoes/trainers was spot on.
X-13 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Well not being able to go I spent a fair bit of today (whilst doing other things obviously) watching the webcam feed. You more than likely saw me there. Apparently, I turned up after everyone had left... Signed the poster though. [And got a "YOU'RE X-13?"]
CAM Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 How was your first BETT? I didn't catch you as I was taking down ICT-Direct's stand at the end. I also love my free "Google Notebook!"
plexer Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 What waz worse was waiting for digital signage to scroll round so we could see ourselves all pointing at James. Ben
elsiegee40 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 My arm was aching - I never realised that there were so many slides scrolling!
john Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 What waz worse was waiting for digital signage to scroll round so we could see ourselves all pointing at James. Ben We should have just grabbed a laptop and looked at it on that instead of the big screen Was a great tool as ever the BETT Cam I hope members who couldn't join us did get a sense of being part of us

X-13 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 How was your first BETT? I didn't catch you as I was taking down ICT-Direct's stand at the end. Who me? It was Ok. I was knackered when I got home... and was a bit ill from the copious amounts of free popcorn I had. Plus I was slightly annoyed with [some company I can't remember the name of... they had a monkey game... thing]. They couldn't understand that, while their game looked cool, there was no chance we'd be sending them a full student list [first name, last name, class] and teacher list... just to get a demo.
witch Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 How was your first BETT? I didn't catch you as I was taking down ICT-Direct's stand at the end. I also love my free "Google Notebook!" I got one of those right at the end, for telling one of the americans all about edugeek and how it was worldwide - she asked if we discuss things like Google Apps and I told her how members evaluate things like that and we share the information -she said "we should be on there, shouldn't we?" I did, of course, say YES and she gave me one of the nice notebooks. They'd run out of the badges though - boo The chocolate I got specially from ICT-Direct was lovely
AngryTechnician Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 That would be an absolute coup for Edugeek if we actually got some engagement from Google. In my experience they aren't big on customer dialogue. I was quite surprised to see them at BETT in the first place. Pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless.
ict-direct Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 How was your first BETT? I didn't catch you as I was taking down ICT-Direct's stand at the end. I also love my free "Google Notebook!" Bloody nice of you to help it was too. Made the Saturday breakdown so much easier for John and I :-) Thanks to all who came to see us! Get you chocolate orders in now for 2013 (or alternatively buy 75+ machines and we'll take you out for dinner!) :-P Here's to 2013! Dave

elsiegee40 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Thanks to all who came to see us! Get you chocolate orders in now for 2013 (or alternatively buy 75+ machines and we'll take you out for dinner!) :-P Here's to 2013! Dave I'll have to settle for chocolate. Your minimum order for dinner is nearly double the number of machines we have in school in total!
ict-direct Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 haha!! If you can't make the full 75, just kit your school out and we'll let you come! And don't be thinking that we are gonna drive down south just for a bite to eat! You have to wait until BETT 2013 for the annual ICT-Direct customer dinner!
witch Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 But what if I can't afford to get to BETT? - self-funding, y'see - cost me £50 just for the day this year
