Installing Chinese Simplified Chinese Pinyin (extra options)
Harlquinth replied to vfong1982's topic in Windows 10
We're also having the same problem - did you ever manage to find a solution? Thanks, Hq. -
Many thanks - found it now, and working . Wish it was possible to do with google/yahoo mail as well, but at least outlook gets us going! One other thing I was wondering, although less of an issue, I don't suppose there's a way of signing up for a Hotmail/outlook account without a mobile number? Would like to setup a separate account for our scout group, but not keen on using my mobile number if it can be helped as would like to keep it separate. Thanks, Peter.

Thanks for the reply If I go there, the only address listed is my outlook one, and it doesn't give me any option of adding in a different one if it's just a forwarding address. Thanks, Peter.

Adding a 'from' email address
Harlquinth replied to Harlquinth's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Yes - sorry for starting a new thread - thought if I posted in general instead it might be more likely to get a response, but I couldn't work out how to delete/move this thread! -
Went fairly well in the end - printed off a couple of documents to read beforehand, and spent some time sorting out our storeroom! Managed to avoid using my laptop (or any other computer) for the whole day at work myself!

Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows if it's still possible to add a 'from' email address in a yahoo/google/outlook (or other) email account if you don't have a proper account for that email address (e.g. if it's forwarded from a domain that you own). I've done this for my own domain names with yahoo, google, and outlook accounts in the past, but when I went to try doing it today for some new email addresses for our scout groups domain name, all of the options that I can find keep asking me to log into an email account. Does anyone happen to know if this is/isn't possible anymore? If it's not possible, does anyone know of any alternatives methods/services (preferably free) that a scout group could use? Many thanks, Peter.

We have a digital detox day tomorrow for the students, and staff are ment to be setting a good example by avoiding using computers/technology where possible! We're wondering how best to join in as an IT department - we have a few ideas already such as tidying up the store room, tidying up/re-cabletying cables, cleaning out inside computers. Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas, or do any other places do similar 'digital detox' days? Thanks, Hq.

Edugeek Stand at BETT C381 alongside Smoothwall
Harlquinth replied to elsiegee40's topic in BETT 2026
Probably a bit late now, but I created my own list - posted a link to it on the map thread! Many thanks to everyone at the Edugeek stand for being welcoming and for the freebies, hope to see you again next year! Hq. -
After not getting very helpful replies from the Bett organisers, I decided to create my own list instead using the version off the website - have uploaded it here in case anyone else finds it of use: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_hfK_cSP-m1aHFJVDR1RllURXM/view?usp=sharing (For some reason I couldn't get uploading straight to the forum to work.) Hope that helps! Thanks, Hq.

Have just tried to install the app on my android tablet, but it says "Your device isn't compatible with this version" (even though it's only a month old tablet!) ... Perhaps I should try contacting the Bett organisers - maybe if they have enough people ask, it won't be phased out as quickly! Thanks, Hq.

Just wondering if anyone's heard any further news on a combined map/exhibitor list yet? The online exhibitor list isn't much use if you can't save/download it somehow to print it off or use offline. (The internet isn't always the most reliable at Bett, and I prefer a paper copy as well since it's much easier to read/write on than a small screen - assuming your phone even supports the app/website!) Thanks, Hq.

I use the power reports from impero to create computer usage reports/graphs by exporting them, and then processing them in a database/spreadsheet to come up with something similar to the below for each term:

I've seen that for a while, and we normally just hide that update - skype for business seems to show up as an office update though, which is how we missed it. Uninstalling office completely does seem to get rid of it, not very good that you have to do a complete uninstall though. Thanks, Peter.
